Returning Player Inquiry in Regards to Expansions

hello, i have not played in a while so my apologies if this information is readily available. i am currently installing the game and was just wondering if there is a way to acquire the expansions by grinding (indirectly). when i say this, i mean for example, in elder scrolls online you can simply grind up enough gold and purchase premium currency from a discord vendor, which can then be used to purchase dlc but not premium membership. i remember some type of gold for gem and vice versa exchange in gw2 but its been a while. i am hoping to be able to purchase the expansions just by playing the game because even though they are on sale i just grabbed bioshock trilogy and controller companion so cant afford rn and today is last day of sale lol. anyways, thank you in advance for any response(s)! No, the expansion must be purchased via cash. However, DLC (the story episodes and associated content) may be purchased by gems (our cash shop currency which may also be purchased by gold earned playing the game).

thank you, yea i figured some part of it had to be cash only. regardless, while you were responding i crumbled and pulled out the cc. 15.98 total for 2 expansions though? i cant get in too much trouble lmao.
