Trevor Boyer.6524
Oh you don't like it when you're 1v1 a Holo and you're trying real hard to outplay and finally you get an opening to get a clean strike vs. it without risking dying in 2 hits to nades but when you hit it you're somehow passively blinded 50% of the time and then the other 50% of the time it stuns you when you strike it?Yeah me either. It's all this passive random ass damage mitigation that they are allowing to exist in the game, in the form of passive proc condis like Blind and passive proc CCs like Shocking Aura and now Flashbang. It's unhealthy for the game and makes the dynamic feel choppy, flat footed, and more stat attribute based rather than skill based. No one likes being glued to the floor 50% of the time they are in a team fight situation. It makes the flow of the game feel similar to when you're stuck in a traffic jam. law.9410
It' not as common, but I think random blinds are bad for the game as well, I used to run arcane precision plus blinding ashes on my fresh air ele, it's just not fun to play against. Especially when my health is often kept at a maximum high because I can tank.

This is the same for all skills with a passive aspect to them... they have to be activated first.

A large portion of the usable pets' CC does require a button press. If by 'passive' you mean menacing presence as the bird swoops over you, fair enough. You can't start a dodge and use an instant cast spell right while still dodging, there is a delay for the EE buff to apply. Meaning that if you defensive mechanics right after they finished their dodge roll, you are safe.

Same goes for wasting a block or any other defensive ability of similar caliber. You're exhausting an active ability to deal with a passive trigger. I'm sure I don't have to explain why this sounds broken on paper already.

You can be running away or literally afk and the pet will cc for you because the pet auto aggros on anyone that attacks you by default unless you specifically set it to avoid combat. I'm not defending Flashbang / EE, I'm merely pointing out the bias.
