Danikat.8537
There's a festival starting later today (in about 2-3 hours probably) so the anniversary sale might either start or be announced around the same time.Or it could be later in the month. Previous start dates have been as early as the 2nd or as late as the 23rd, so there's no reason to think they forgot just because it's not started yet. Jilora.9524
A patch today might start then. They won't forget. It starts out with stuff you usually don't want anyway hoping you bite early then need more when bank tabs char slots etc pop up at the end
Wolfb.7025
Apparently its been a week since August Sales came, but they've been putting dyes on sale so far.
Danikat.8537
According to this article the sale starts tomorrow: https://www.guildwars2.com/en-gb/news/spark-and-shiver-with-the-dark-storm-chest/Anniversary Sales BeginStarting tomorrow, the Black Lion Trading Company is joining the annual anniversary celebration with sales on a huge selection of items! Visit the Gem Store to take advantage of legendary discounts.I guess the dyes (and the mount skins) weren't considered part of the anniversary sale. I'm not quite sure what the distinction is but it's always been fairly arbitrary anyway, they do sales for certain things at all times of the year, August is just the most likely time for some of the more desirable items like bank tabs and character slots. And as @Jilora.9524 said they usually leave the things they know will be popular until the end, hoping players will spend any gems they have saved up before that and then buy more for the things they really want.Edit: Except when they don't. I should have read the whole thing before posting, character slots are going on sale on the 15th.
