Is there any use for this at all? All I've ever seen it do is cause new players to get stuck on things because it's on by default. (I think?)

What it does is prevent you from going through an enemy hitbox, which is usually not a good thing because it lets you get body blocked.

Btw, if you do have it on, I would suggest trying to turn it off.
