Soulbound Crafting

I bought a Guild Tower Shield on my guardian then bought the Chiascuro Shield recipe, went on my engineer to craft it because but apparently I cannot use it TO CRAFT because it is soulbound to my guardian and I will not level weaponsmithing on my guardian just to make ONE shield.Why doesn't this work? Can somebody (preferable staff) please explain to me why this stupid system is in place? My guild commendations and gold are wasted because of this minuscule barrier put in place.

Yes and 1 line under what you outlined it says soulbond on accuire so clearly you have to buy it with the crafter you want to make the item with.

You don't need to craft it on your Guardian. Only the Guild Tower Shield is Soulbound, you need only wait until you have enough Guild Commendations and then buy it again from the NPC on your crafting character. The crafted item should then be bankable.

There's nothing you can do about the one you wasted Commendations on.

Yeah honestly it was my fault but it's still really stupid for guild weapons to be account bound on acquire

If they were account bound you would be able to craft with them, they are soul bound mate.I agree with you that the should make them account bound and do the same to 24 and 28 slot crafted bags aswell.

This problem has been around for years ... don't expect a fix any time soon. :/

At best you might be able to get support to help with it.
