new skimmer track not advancing.

I have been running the Dragon's Stand event chain for the past three days and the bar on my skimmer path is not advancing. Is there something I am missing. I have complete POF on teh character I am trying to get the skimmer on. I have completed the path to and the race. Is there something I am missing. I have enough credits to get the thing but the bar is not advancing. Is there something that I am missing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks is advance.

Edited:What the other posters said. :) When I answered I was sure to reread the OP to see if he was actually playing on a PoF map but for some reason I read Dragon's Stand as Dragonfall and figured he was in the right map. I am getting old. :(

Dragon's Stand is not a PoF map. You need to get xp on a PoF map.

Look in daily's to find PoF/LS4 event that give you both daily rewards and XP for that mastery in Skimmer track. It is most bounty, but with enough people it would go rather fast to progress in that track.

Dragon Stand is a LW3/LS3 map connected to HoT. Dragonfall is an Island where dragons body is now part of Island's landscape.

You can always check which colour your Mastery Track have (should be purple for PoF/Skimmer) on Mastery Insights on map. Dragon's Stand doesn't have any Insights at all from what I can see on wiki and interactive map.

Does it really matter? OP are asking why he/she don't progress in Mastery for Skimmer and Dragon's Stand isn't a map that belong to LW4 or PoF.

If it is needed to debate which is which then there is at least a link in my post above to GW2 wiki how to get there and what is needed to access this place. Only way to get to Dragon's Stand is through Tangled Depth at least until player unlock WP which is for most part congested.

The map design of Dragon's Stand are expecting player to have at least access to gliding as a lot of places here have updraft and Ley-Lines. There are some other HoT Mastery that is needed to get around or to survive that are connected through its colour as green Mastery (Skimmer's Mastery is purple).

Dragonfall is on an Island where a large part is connected to players Skyscale mount growing up. After first time through story visit then the main WP will become unlocked at camp, one can use that or buy a portal scroll that can be put into LW4 Tome. Dragonfall make use of a more flat landscape (Dragon's Stands main fight is on rocks that are floating in the air) which make it possible to rest your Skyscale or climb up wall or a combo of mounts to get around that are land based (exception here is Skimmer as it can cross water indefinitely without loosing hight). There are some updrafts here too and Mushrooms to get higher up in air incl those Motes in air that re-charge flight bar and endurance bar, give quickness and VM currency. These Motes work also as pathways to get to places which Skyscale wouldn't be able to get without taking much more time.
