Disappearing backpacks

I understand this isn't a huge issue, but if anyone knows the cause, ways to reduce the frequency of this, or ideally if ANet could give word on it, it would be a great help.

Often my backpiece will disappear for seemingly no reason and won't return until I glide, but will still vanish soon after. It seems to happen most frequently after a transformation with a tonic, but also happens at random as well.

For an end game mostly based on fashion I think this issue isn't completely irrelevant and it would be nice if ANet could fix it, especially when things like Legendary backpieces exist that people probably want to see/show off. A little frustrating that they can just disappear and the issue won't resolve itself until a map change takes place.
