Peck Sanders.1856
I want to play raids, but i have a little problem with my left wrist, i don't think weapon swap is a thing for me, do we have any build who can do well with no weapon swap at all?(If i misspelled something, i am deeply sorry,)
Wolfb.7025
Staff daredevil DPS, no weapon swap needed, deals decent damage and has a lot of dodges, and pretty much straightforward rotation.
Ayrilana.1396
Alacrigade doesn’t require weapon swaps except for when you need to CC. If you’re doing the heal variant, you can just camp staff. There’s also a condi SB build that is relatively comparable to other condi classes with minor exceptions (e.g. condi chrono for largos). This build can camp shortbow. Power daredevil is another that doesn’t require weapon swapping at all. Same goes for rifle deadeye. One issue that I see regardless is that the majority of builds use many of the F1-5 skills so if you’re having issues using the weapon swap key then you may have similar issues with those. Infusion.7149
If you have issues with weaponswap you'd still have issues with classes that require micromanagement such as holosmith (kits) or weaver (conjured weapons and attunement swapping).Power herald is probably a decent bet as far as power builds other than the aforementioned staff daredevil : https://snowcrows.com/raids/builds/revenant/herald/boon/ , https://lucky-noobs.com/builds/boon-heraldI would say if you're not raiding, then berserker warrior is a good option because you wouldn't be swapping weapons for damage ,you would be running double axes with double mace for CC. see https://discretize.eu/builds/warrior/berserkerThe raid variant runs one axe on each weaponset so that technically it is double axe but they use the "fake" weaponswap to build adrenaline.Wolfb's suggestion of staff daredevil ( https://discretize.eu/builds/thief/power-daredevil , https://lucky-noobs.com/builds/power-daredevil , https://snowcrows.com/raids/builds/thief/daredevil/power/ ) is okay, so is Ayrilana's suggestion of alacrity renegade (which has legend swaps, see https://discretize.eu/builds/revenant/renegade , https://snowcrows.com/raids/builds/revenant/renegade/alacrity/ , https://lucky-noobs.com/builds/power-alacrity-renegade) to a lesser extent. I would put condi scourge in there as well if not swapping weapons is the only criteria. If talking about raids only then single shortbow condi soulbeast is an option where conditions work. Such as a button on your mouse?Beyond that:Power Daredevil doesn't weapon swap.Deadeye Rifle only weapon swaps once, late into a fight (Though, many suboptimal players find they don't need to weapon swap at all)Power Reaper can function with minimal weapon swapping.Elementalist, Engineer and Revenant (Mostly Alacrigade and Healigade) don't weapon swap much, if at all. But they do heavily rely on class mechanics that require frequent swapping, such as Elementalist and Revenant swapping Attunement/Legends (Also using Renegade skills) with F1-F4 while Engineer relies on Holoforge (F1) and Kits (Utility skills)Which, depending on your keybinding, could have a similar issue to actual weapon swapping based classes. Cuks.8241
Banner slave warrior. You can camp axes. You only swap for CC.There is also healing tempest which camps staff and doesn't change attunements but I don't know how meta it currently is.I am not sure how swapping by itself is really a problem though. Maybe your question is which builds have easier rotations.Or a different solution is looking into your keybinds. How well do you utilize your mouse. Even basic mouses have more options than just mouse 1 and 2. You probably have mouse 3 by pressing the wheel (very easy to use once you get used to it) and maybe you can also utilize mouse wheel up and down. In other games I loved mouse wheel up and down for skill, unfortunately, GW2 really likes to mess with camera and readjustment is almost required. Maybe you could live with only zoom out. Khisanth.2948
Alternatively ... some sort of gaming mouse or just any mouse with an extra button or two.
steki.1478
If weapon swap itself is an issue you can just rebind it to another key. Outside of thief, all classes rely on pressing a decent amount of weapon skills and utilities in their rotations so a single key press doesn't affect that at all. I use a Razer Orbweaver and set weapon swap to a thumb switch. All of the keys are programmable. My left wrist has almost no stress on it. All keys I need are located in a smaller space than a keyboard can fit and I do not move my wrist or arm. Right hand mouse is programmed with F (interact), jump, special action, weapon stow and a few other keys while left hand keypad has wasd, all numbers , all functions and a couple of other keys.
