Outnumbered bug?

If you switch to a map that is outnumbered you won't get the buff until the next tick (if its still outnumbered of course) unless you switch as the timer is resetting or within about 10 seconds. So if someone calls out that DBL is outnumbered and you switch to that map at say 2 minutes left you won't get the buff.

That might be what you're experiencing. This change was made so players didn't switch maps right at the end of the tick to get the extra pips from the buff and then switch back.

Its also possible the numbers on your map are closer than you think. The game will count every player on the map AFAIK so even those in spawn will affect whether or not you get outnumbered. It doesn't matter if you're losing objectives or not it only matters on how big the player difference is.

It's not that... i mean the 1st 2 things that you wrote. As for the 3rd one, before PoF came out it did not matter how many players were on the map, the game counted the territory that we possess. Maybe they changed it to the number of people, not the number of the territories.

I may be wrong, but outnumbered has always referred to population on map, not territories.

I've been playing wvw after that patch then I guess, my problem is not that. I know that rule.I tested the outnumbered buff and it was quite easy to know where to go in order to get the outnumbered because I really think before it was about the territories and not the players. I doubt that I was lucky every day while farming peeps. I think they changed something, but I guess other people disagree :D

What was actually used in the background would only be known by Anet. But the stated and documented calculation for outnumbered was always based on population.

Outnumbered => Enemies takes most of your territoriesI think that might be the explanation

Not always. On some servers, line mine, some comms prefer to rampage across the map, ignoring pve crap and just picking fights. They'll let the keeps hit t3 then attack it, knowing that most of the time the enemy will stop running and actually fight to defend it. Only way to make some servers fight.
