Honestly, yeah. Both this and the Dark Matter set are examples of flashy/bright particle designs that actually look alright.

Recently I've been pretty let down by messy eye-burning additions like the Demon Haunted and Volcanic Stormcaller sets and even the overabundance of sharp teal in some of the Dragon Slayer set, but employing the right amount of contrast really made a difference with Shimmering Aurora.

Nice. Good. I'd enjoy more like this for the shiny things, and more like the Privateer set for the practical things.

Dark Matter, Eternal Forged and Dark Wing too imo. Ice Reaver looks good as well, but I'm just not a huge fan of icy theme.Overally I think a lot of recent skins were solid.

They're not actually part of Wintersday, they're the new black lion weapon set. So you either need to open black lion chests and hope you get weapon tickets/scraps, or you can buy them from the Trading Post.

The Wiki is updated entirely by players, so there's always a bit of a delay adding new things, especially when lots of stuff comes out at once. I'm sure they'll get pages soon.

Yeah i know, that's why i asked here. :smile:And since they came out on Wintersday or somewhere around this time, i thought they're maybe connected to that.Anyway, thanks for answering!

Like with many other shiny weapons, I do not understand why they do not illuminate their surroundings like a torch. That's something that is bugging me about those skins. At least a soft light would be nice, then I would at least consider using them...

:+1: However, very few of their past designs were decent. I especially loathe the ridiculous sizes of most of their weapons, something they keep doing to date. Just plain awful.

I know they are themed around the aurora borealis, but i find them quite glaring and the trail is mismatched imo. It's the hard lines around the ribbons of light, i wish they were softer/more blurred and used as the trail instead of this out-of-nowhere starry effect.

These are nice indeed. I'm normally against such flashy things, but they are very pretty nonetheless. I do have a BL ticket spare, so might grab one if I can find a character it would work on. But I don't really use that colour scheme

I like the colour scheme, but I think the effects are a bit much for most of my characters most of the time.

But I'm tempted to pick some up since I have black lion tickets from somewhere or other, and I suspect this set will be very expensive later on since they seem pretty popular now. The question is whether to get the weapons I'm most likely to use, or the ones likely to be the most expensive later on.

I still think Exordium looks better. I think that's going to be my next legendary, because I love the effects as well as the colours. I might start not long after Wintersday, but I haven't decided yet, but it's going to be a very long time before I finish it, so I'm kind of jealous you're so close to finishing already.

Another "yes I'm getting the full set" of skins. Eternal Forged and Lorekeeper also are fantastic unique sets.

If I know I'm getting most of the set, I figure I get them all to complete the collection to get 7 full tickets back. Then spend gold on an older set when it drops under 200G total to get another 7.
