mercury ranique.2170
Short answer: not going to happen (sorry about that).Long answer: It is very much easier to add languages at launch, then it is later on. We are talking about a massive investment and it is very unlikely they'll ever get the investment back. I know latin America is a rising market for online games, but to make such a risky move, you need to have a new game.to explain the issue, specifically with GW2. It main feature is the living world. It constantly grows and is enriched. This is done over time. By adding an extra language they need to invest a lot of time in catching up. This will almost certainly be done on the cost of development time of new content. This means they risk the existing player base by adding a potential new player base. The main issue, from a business point of view is the potential part. They know how well the game is doing now. They will not know how well it is doing when they add another language. This uncertainty is not going to work for an existing game. When a game is made from scratch this is totally different as there is no current playerbase.
