Lion's Arch, Divinity's Reach, basically any major city as she's the guild leader of a merchant guild that focuses on selling apples and apple accessories. She tries to avoid The Grove though.

 

Is there any gossip a stranger might have heard about them, whether true or false?

• "She claims that her apples were used to defeat Zhaitan! That's some weird marketing scheme, though..."
• "Huh - you see those apples everywhere, don't you? Even helping out the Pact."

Briefly describe their physical appearance if it differs from their character model: His hair is a fair bit longer than ingame model suggests, and his ponytail is secured by a small red ribbon tied into a bow. He always wears a high-collared shirt beneath whatever outerwear he's got on, no matter how warm or cold it may be.

 

Is there any place a stranger might have seen them before in passing? For the most part, roads and settlements around Kryta. Occasionally in Divinity's Reach and other cities.

 

Is there any gossip a stranger might have heard about them, whether true or false? "That kid looks disreputable enough to be a bandit. Wonder what he's trying to hide."

 

Additional info: He is generally known as Jad or Jaddy. He's remarkably tight-lipped about his past. As of right now he doesn't have a steady profession but he takes up odd jobs - farm labor, caravan escorts, courier work - whenever possible to make ends meet.

Elidryn is an average-looking sylvari with a wide chin and nose. His tough, bark-like skin is teal with softer leaves wrapped around his forearms, chest, and legs. Very tall and well-built. His posture is stiff like a soldier, but he moves with an easy grace, wasting no energy on unnecessary movement. He has severe frost-burn scars on the left side of his face, neck, chest, and shoulder.

Briefly describe their physical appearance if it differs from their character model: Masyndril's hair consists of braided white vines that have been meticulously stripped free of all leaves and errant sprouts. He's hard to miss in a crowd, as he's lavishly adorned with gold jewelry and embroidery.

Is there any place a stranger might have seen them before in passing? - While he spends most of his time tending to his branch of the Court, he has on occasion made trips to major cities to meet with contacts and consultants, and would freely mingle in such locations.

 

Is there any gossip a stranger might have heard about them, whether true or false? A few rumors sometimes float that he's an assassin for hire, or that he orchestrated Faolain's fall. There's a claim that floats around about him being an undercover valiant in the Court, but it's not a very likely one. Conflicting voices will claim that he's a self-important vain poser or that he's a rare specimen of a Courtier with virtue.

 

Additional info:

Masyndril is a member of a small established band of Nightmare Courtiers, and has led them since around 1325 AE. While his sect doesn't condemn violence or cruelty, they are adamant it must first be earned, which has given them a reputation of being a lesser evil and is the basis for an uneasy truce with the nearest settlements.

Briefly describe their physical appearance if it differs from their character model:

Quintilius is a short 6'3" charr who only has one set of horns (a genetic trait from his sire), capped at the end with gold. His fur is short and sleek, more akin to velvet or peachfuzz. Earrings drip from his ears and on his forehead and chest there is white tattoos. The one on his forhead is a Kodan Diamond and the one on his chest is two hands, one with a paw in the middle of it and the other with a bird, holding a heart. He tends to wear heavy armor despite being a necromancer because his battle style is close and in your face. While he used to have the male tufted tail in the past, since transitioning more to NB and having 4 cubs he has a puffy jaguar tail- a perfect mix of the flowing female charr tail and the male tail.

In canon, In game:

Bjoras: during the whispers he and one of his kodan mates were helping the Kodan there get their bearings. Being someone who loves to cook he was found cooking hearty full meals while gathering and disregardling the whispers as much as possible. He may cone by to see how Cloudseeker is doing.  

 

Drizzlewood: Roped in by Malice despite having left the legions, he used this to destroy records of existing in the legions while letting  Malice and the United Legions use his skills in interrogation. When the ice melted and the Frost Citadel showed he was assigned to help the attack against the Claw of Jormag, having had experience being a centurion and taking one down in the past. We can either rp him helping ash soldiers in this contexf or on the front lines. 

 

Black Citadel: After 1329, and especially after the Civil War, Quint avoids the Black Citadel but he will occasionally visit to see old friends who are still in the legions. He grew up here in a ash legion fahrar but upon disgrace was thrown out but picked up by blood legion, crawling his way up to centurion.  He was known to party and party hard all his life. If hes anywhere in the city its the markets getting meat and spices or using his bank. (I sometimes Idle here. Say hello!) legion charr may have heard of him  and ran into him before especially if they are blood or ash. 

 

In game where I play him, but not quite canon:

Any kodan sanctuary- im often found running around frostgorge and bitterfrost. He is the type to help out Kodan and also help act as a diplomat especially between the Kodan and other races

 

Eye of the North (technically half canon as he does help during Judgement against icebrood.)

 

Not in game but in his canon: 

Mostly  they are found in a half ice sanctuary Hopes Retread and Travellers Vigil a Kodan village set on solid ground.  The former claw was both lucky and a tactical genius, fleeing quickly from the north and with the help of her voice able to get through the changing landscape and find a cove, not far from the eye of the north, to put their anchor down.  Their access to iron and wood and strong trading ties with those around them meant they were able to shore up their defenses wuickly before Jormags army grew to what it is at the start of Guild Wars 2. Due to the current rulers only barely being 30 (extremely young for a species that can live for centuries) this sanctuary has become quite casual (to the disgust of some other kodan) and the norn enjoy trading with them because they dont get the same treatment other sancturies give them. This is Quints home and they are often called The Heart due to their role in reconnecting the current Claw and a Voice who ran south to the black citadel begging for help for their village in 1325. This is great if your into rping off the game timeline/au or if you want to pretend one of the kodan sanctuaries is this place

He is in a poly relationship with Stoic Mountain, a claw of koda, and Stray Cry, a voice of Koda. As of 1333 he has four 2 year old cubs.

 

They are a charismatic charr, a necromancer whose reaper shroud is white holy flames connected to the mists. Despite the rumors they are welcoming and friendly, always making sure no one is left with a empty stomach. He loves to bring people together, helped healed bonds in the village he lives in, and often partied at the black citadle. For a long time in their life all they wanted was to be loved, they were a black sheep(cat?) in the legions. 

Their battling style is upfront and personal. He uses teeth and claws, an axe passed down from his dame, knives, blood magic, and a great sword that is based on an ice cutter- specially made to kill icebrood. They were well suited for the blood legion for a reason. He loves sewing, cooking, writing erotica that would make goldclaw blush, and music.

If said stranger is a charr revenant that was part of the first batch of revenants trained after Rytlock came back from the mists with this magic. Then they might have seen her in those training groups. Afterwards, she became Legionnaire of Splinter warband, and that warband mostly does special ops for the iron legion. As such, she's been everywhere but the maguuma jungle.

 

Is there any gossip a stranger might have heard about them, whether true or false? Alexa is known to be a no nonsense legionnaire that on occasion threatens to cut off the tail of charr she dislikes.

Alexa has been Legionnaire of Splinter warband for several years now. Splinter warband being both the ic warband and the ooc guild she/I leads.

Briefly describe their physical appearance if it differs from their character model: Any large area glow on the armor is meant to be a more muted bioluminescent glow, not floating around the character 5 feet out. Hidden by his grown clothing are a number of  floral themed carvings.

 

Is there any place a stranger might have seen them before in passing? In order of time spent: Caledon (mostly around Mabon Market), Brisban Wildlands, Mount Maelstrom, The Grove, Divinity's Reach, Lion's Arch, Bloodtide Coast, Wayfarer Foothills, and more recently Grothmar Valley. Any where else  was only in passing.

He's a mender who had several clinics around sylvari lands, but has closed up shop and been more reclusive since Mordremoth's awakening. He loves spending time in the Grove, especially down in the bamboo garden though others often wander through and disturb his meditations there.  Known to treat any sylvari, even if they were openly Nightmare, so long as they respected the rules of his clinic while inside the walls.

 

Additional info: Caolan is a Nightmare courtier, though he goes through great pains to hide it. With that comes paranoia, and secret bases hidden around that he affectionately calls vacation homes. The man is welcoming and helpful, if  another sylvari has a problem, he  either has the solution or knows someone who does. If  someone of the other races has a problem, that sounds terrible and he hopes they can resolve it quickly. If they have something useful to him, he is every bit as warm and welcoming to them as he is to those of his own species.

Joan is a fully trained blacksmith who was also trained in the arts of swordsmanship and the ways of the Guardian. She owns a small smithy in the harbor city Lion's Arch and has ever since she opened the place started to make a name for herself again. She used to be part of the Vigil and Pact later, when it was formed, and is currently a mercenary employed by both the Seraph and Lionguard. Recent developments led to increasingly harsh confrontations with Jormag's forces at the front lines.

Xifeng (Xi) is a pale, lithe woman of slightly above average height. She keeps her long black hair pinned in a bun on the top of her hair with decorative ornament. Her eyes are a light pink-red hue, presumably from some sort of disease/mutation. She tends to wear dark clothing.

The family had a notable tragedy a couple decades ago that left the current head orphaned in the care of the branch family, people of Garenhoff or East Kessex might have heard. They were often shunned for fear of their magic after Zhaitan rose. She's widowed with a young son.

- Family escaped Cantha a couple centuries ago, has largely maintained bloodline through arranged marriages
- Is often seen alongside her son when actually out in public.

Additional info: He can never age. He is angrily short. He cannot get any taller unless it is temporary. He has a hard time buying beer. People often think he's 8-10 years old. He has a celestial white glow, similar to most others.

Additional info: He was a secondborn and was once a part of the nightmare court. Additionally, he had joined the Mordrem Guard during Heart of Thorns. He, like the sylvari found in Labyrinthe Cliffs during the Festival of the Four Winds, was able to revert himself after being aided by Kratos. His form was unrecognizable though, so no rumors can be started as he's usually assumed to be a newly born.

Anybody old enough to have been at Divinity’s Reach Court prior to Queen Jennah’s reign may recognize her as a courtesan known as the Jade Butterfly.  They may have even been a client of hers.  She was known to have employed bodyguards at times, for various reasons.  A former intelligence agent (friend or foe) might know that the Jade Butterfly was a front for her work as an intelligence/counterintelligence asset. People fighting in her squad at Triple Trouble find it quite easy to strike up a conversation with her before or after the event.  She frequently commands one of the squads at the 12 am EST/9 pm PST Triple Trouble with [BMT].

She now lives alone in the Bloodtide Coast as an “herbalist” using skills from her previous professions.  Locals, including the Hylek and the pirates, come to her for everything from soaps to tonics and salves.  She helps the Vigil at Firthside in their fight against the great three-headed jungle wurm and has developed a reputation there as a gentle but capable squad commander who enjoys a cup of tea prior to the event.

Amara often serves as a blocker or commander at [BMT]’s Triple Trouble event at 12 am EST/9 pm PST.  Sometimes she will also help out at the post-reset TT one hour after reset.  Those maps tend to fill, so if you plan to meet her there expect to be there by XX:45.  She has not started Ice Brood Saga yet as I prefer to do those missions in a duo/trio/group. ‘Farren Streiss’ was an original character I wrote many years back for a project unrelated to GW2, then decided to bring into GW2 to play and later roleplay. I have been roleplaying for about 2-ish years now and love what it brings to the experience. Severely thin, to the point of being close to skeletal. Heavily scarred from the neck down. Smaller than most Asura (around 2 feet even, minimum height is implied to be 2'10" according to wiki) due to stunted growth.

 

Is there any place a stranger might have seen them before in passing?

Mostly around Soren Draa, various levels of Rata Sum (usually heading to a specific lab or to any market areas), occasionally on the grounds of Rata Sum's hospital. Every once in a while can be seen outside of those areas.

"There's an Asura that has a canine-shaped Golem, I wonder where she got it?"

"I heard that the dog-like Golem was made by the Asura that it accompanies."

"Didn't she also program it from scratch?"

I only included stuff that I personally or my close friends have brought up in the previous two questions.

Potentially heavy topics such as mental health, chronic illness, and mortality may come up, due to her chronic illness and history.

Food and eating (including eating large amounts in one sitting) come up frequently as well, occasionally food deprivation and weight (either woes about it, or her being horrifically skinny) comes up too due to her history. These sorts of things are part of the core of her character, so they aren't easily toned down or hidden without things sounding incredibly awkward.

While I do mostly RP with friends and only on some days, if anyone is interested in RPing with her for some reason, that's fine-just whisper me in game, as I don't really check the forums. If this does happen, please let me know that you came from the forums and would like to RP, and please allow for some out of character discussion before starting the scene.

She has a carrd page that leads to an offsite wiki page for her. As the carrd site advises, the wiki page contains a drawing of her that shows how thin she is, thus viewer discretion is advised.

While she is in The Pact (Priory Chronicler in name only, really just an Explorer who brought valuable data back from an expedition unconventionally and joined too early for a promotion to Magister), her being more involved in stuff away from the battlefield is why I haven't put her bio in the requisite topic.
