That trait was awesome for power and had a trade off. I'm missing the reason why they needed to change this trait at all, unless according to their notes they believe they're throwing a bone to condi thieves, but they could have done something else. The confusion helped force decisions on another player like Torment did before they killed that also.

Condi thief is definitely a degenerate build as the initial burst is way too easy to land / very hard to avoid due to it being from a long lasting stealth, however it's not exactly hard to fight against. All you have to do is clear the initial burst condis ASAP and then attack the thief to force them to either disengage and wait or die - and the disengage will last a while as the main weakness of condi p/d is their d@mage is pretty meh outside the initial steal burst which has a hefty cooldown to it. If you see a condi thief on the other team and you don't swap your build to something with a good clear it's kind of your own fault.

New forum design same gw2 player mentality.

Thief Subform- 25% actual thief players post-50% players that never touched the class hating on it and wanting it deleted or giving their so knowledgeable suggestions on how to balance the class they dont know anything about and hate-25% players that say their thief players(hehe warrior main anyone?) but only post to ask for thief nerfs and buffs to other classes (hehe warrior maybe?) cuz u kno....why not.

I'm not surprised by the so called massive balance pass being actually no more than an average one compared to most mmo's, im so glad I barely play this game, its pvp player mentality is something else, so is its stale state.

Oh and I'm top 5 thief.....see how easy it is to type that, doesnt mean it's true nor does it mean my suggestions are genuine or correct.

every top team played thief last mAT

and

i bring more statistic

4 out of top 10 play thief.

and also adding personally im fairly high ranked with thief to solidify my view to show that i actually have experience on thief and not just pulling things out of my butt.

funny how you laugh at the person for bringing actual argument and statistic and actually has played the class in a fair level.

 

funny how in your eyes, saying my rank is a show off that don't mean anything, what else determine if you are actually a good thief play or just some no brain low gold thief? by typing non sense statement without statistic to back it up?

go back to the warrior subform and argue for buffs and leave the thief sub forum for actually thief players and genuine players that wanna learn about it. Thank.

if that's the case i'm actually trying to have a constructive argument with actual statstic right here.

 

why should i go "back" to warrior subforum when literally i was the one who complained full counter being overpowered in warrior subform 1 month before healbreaker was even a thing, i will complain about anything that is overpowered no matter the class unless you can prove other wise with actual argument.

 

either you bring actual argument with statistic or don't ever try to expect thoughtful response.

Max Initiative 15 (with trait). Now start counting. And how much of the initiative is then left or remains. You don't seem to have much of a clue about thieves (or about the initiative system, no offence). Or you misuse the word "spamming" to express annoyance about the class. Change my mind! In any case, it is not (any longer) that simple as you illustrate it (as "spamming"). Several factors play a role!

 

Nevertheless, the problem you refer to as "spamming" is also reflected in the (outdated) initiative cost system and its function (concerning the individual specialisations). I don't go into this in detail at the moment, see why in the following text below.

 

I had actually written a lot more text, also describing what ANet could or should change in order to simplify or improve the "balancing" (according to ANet manner), but the new forum (design), also because I had to interrupt the comment, did not save my original and more detailed text. I may or probably will go into the whole thing in more detail in a special "Thief and Initiative Costs" post.

You can't count at all I see pepeg , specially when klepto give 2 initiative and roll give 6 initiative , oh wait and don't forget lead attacks that reduce cd for steal ( because steal give 2 as i said before  )  . Oh wow you are good , don't forget that black powder has 4 sec duration and count how many times you can use for how long spacer.png

You are a funny fresh fruit indeed. But okay, let's add the two "initiative points" you get when you successfully (I repeat, successfully) steal. And now? How often can you still use "black powder" then? Consider your content or statements factually, and do not overreact ... just because someone has written something about it or criticised it (not in a bad way)! It was only about your comment or word usage "spamming" and that's what I was referring to! 😉

Not at all. Perhaps reconsider your bias when the opportunity arises. The world is more colourful than you think. 🙂

I personally don't like SA in combination with d/p (because it doesn't require much "skill"). The same applies to "Deadeye", by the way. I mainly - meanwhile - play s/d, when i play thief (even if it has the disadvantage compared to sa d/p).

 

Once again, I will repeat myself. I was referring to your post where you misused the word spamming (without continuing information, i.e. a build that uses any resource to get initiative). If you had named a "build" that was designed to do just that, I probably wouldn't have written anything about it.

I cant see u in LB in EU / NA top 25 and if I wouldnt care, I also cannot remember ever faced u. Howeber top 10 EU is Rip on Mirage 3 times, the teefs u talking about are on DE and not dp DD ... as example dest on his DE two times in the ladder top10. We all know teef is good in real competitive play this why we see it in MAT, in rank we all know it is a diffrent story. 

But when we talking about competitive presents than there r other top spots too next to teef, correct? ... holobolo, renebene, guard, ....

Agreed, now condi thieves are virtually limited to bleeding poison and blind, welcome to burn guard world without the damage!
