Caporai.4963
Just curious though. It's fun and cool switching equipments and builds without going in Heros Panel. (Swithing from Reaper to Scourge out of combat at instant feels good) However the Outfit and Glider skins are lacking it (along with the dyes for it). Thought of implemeting these in the game?
Imba.9451
I have been thinking about this often as well. There are a lot of individual outfits I really, really like, and when running around in one for some weeks I usually need to change it up. But this never feels "good" due to transmog charges, even though I still have 550 of them left. There is always something nagging in the back of my head: "If you change your looks too often, you'll end up short of those." The current system doesn't feel good. It's not playing towards the strength of our warddrobe: A huge variety of possible outfits. But I fear that if Anet ever changes this up, they'll end up introducing some crap like paid cosmetic template slots.

(It's something I can at least live with.) It just bothers me why these templates aren't in the game yet. For example the Glider Skin and Back Item are separated (Nightspeaker Wing for Gliding Skin and as Back Item on Equipment 1 while in Equipment 2 I have Dragon Wing equipped as Back Item). Since Back Item is a part of Equipment, it can be switched into something else from another Equip Template. But Glider Skin remain same unless you go to Hero Panel and manually switch it there along with the dyes. For me it's just frustrating when you glide with Nightspeaker Wing when you are wearing Dragon Wing as back Item. As for Outfit, I wear the same armor skins for both equipments, only in different colors. (Bluegreen for Reaper in Equip Template 1, Yellow for Scourge in Equip Template 2). But for Outfits, they stays in same colors when switching equipments. Now it feels like I rather stick to a build and not switching to my templates. Otherwise I disable my outfit and make glider skin matchable and same in both side.
Eloc Freidon.5692
Templates are expensive as they are . Add the functionality of trying glider, mount, dye choice and everything else cosmetic, then they become closer to being the right price.
BlueJin.4127
Yes, I’m very surprised Anet doesn’t have visual templates for this game. 1) Wardrobe templates: It costs transmutation charges to edit/save appearances (just like now). Loading/switching between saved wardrobe templates doesn’t cost any charges. It’ll save all appearances, such as dyes, outfits, gliders, which piece is set to show/hide, etc. This will lead to transmutation charge sales since many players do not have enough charges to save multiple wardrobe templates per character. 2) Mount templates: The template will save the skin and dye set ups for all mounts. There should also be an option to call a random mount template when the player mounts. For example, when I summon the griffon, it will randomly summon my template 1, template 2, or template 3 griffon. This would give players more incentive to own many different mount skins. The more visual templates the player has, the more possibility for additional transmutation and mount skin sales. Quench.7091
This is also a problem with legendaries, when used across multiple builds. I would love an appearance template system. They could sell more cosmetics if they let us easily swap between cosmetics.
Imba.9451
I mean, considering fashion wars is basically this games endgame, some qol-improvements would probably go a long way.
