Tell me what you think of this build idea for the new patch mainly for PvP

Rabid amulet + chrono runes

Pistol+shield with Courage/Agony Sigils

Alchemy: 2/1/2

Inventions: 1/1/1

Scrapper: 1/2/2

Utilities:

Medic Gyro

Thumper Turret

Bulwark Gyro

Blast Gyro/Purge Gyro

Supply Crate

The general Idea being that it is a tough tank that applies constant protection and quickness while being to spam convert conditions to boons which applies regen, has multiple stun breaks with it's own control effects as well as multiple projectile blocks, it is also able to aoe heal and shield with it's gyros and make it's allies go fast with superspeed.

  • Stalima.5490 changed the title to new build concept: Quickprot Scrapper ( PvP)

Of course the role of protection would work. But honestly, your damage is going to abbysmal. You could easily swap Blast Gyro for Purge Gyro and then take hammer. You would have more cleanses, albeit a little bit less protection. However, it exponentionally increases your damage output while staying as tanky if not tankier than before. ofcourse also change runes to something with power.

Sounds interesting.

I think the lack of damage is ok, given you're not looking to be in a damage role, more for a support/bunker role. Give it a test and see how it fares!

The lower damage is rather deceptive, not only is this build constantly applying quickness to itself and thus gaining a large output increase but it is also buffing nearby allies damage output significantly too while making those allies last a lot longer via aoe protection condition cleanse which also applies regeneration (and one other boon depending on what was cleansed) as well as making them run a lot faster with super speed.

If you really look into how this build operates, you start to realize that literally everything you can do does way too much, for example, the blast gyro actually allows you to apply burning because it is a fire field while granting you the quickness to quickly attempt a whole bunch of those projectile finishers on top of all the self might and then aoe might at the end... and the knock-back and it's tool-belt being a stun-break and aoe quickness and super-speed.

It literally takes a paragraph just to explain one ability with all the things going on with them all.

I've been using this build a fair bit now and it seems to be pretty solid if you like bunkers with support capabilities, I swapped from blast to purge just to solidify it as a complete and utter nuisance for any condition reliant builds and further increase it's defensive capabilities via cleanse = regeneration.

It may not be a high damage build but it has a lot of tools to protect allies or cc enemies as well as increase any allied damage output.
