Object in motion (trait)

Currently this trait increases damage by 5% for having swiftness, superspeed and stability.

Scrapper offers great ways of achieving high swiftness and superspeed uptime but stability sources are rare. Applied force offers just 30% uptime and Mass Momentum is even lower. Both traits can't be taken by a quickness scrapper.

 

In pve scrapper dps is among the lowest so helping scrapper with an already existing mod and giving it some more uptime would help it a little bit further and could bring it more in line with stm chrono and quickness cfb.

 

It has to sacrifice 2 traits on top of multiple utilities for gyros and requires >60% boon duration with current values but also has exactly 0 stability uptime aswell. If anything it synergises well with juggernaut which is a meme trait on its own. Changing it to work with swiftness, superspeed and quickness would help it a tiny bit more to be more competetive with fb and chrono. Still has no ways to provide aoe fury or great group might stacking but thats another issue. Kinetic accelerators need also higher base duration in pve for any kind of hybrid dps scrapper to leave the meme tier first but there are already multiple threads pointing that out.

 

Since i don't play much wvsw or pvp i don't know if Object in motion is even used there over Expert examination or if this would hurt pvp builds so feel free to comment on that.

You can get good stab uptime from elixir u and elixir b/bulwark gyro toolbelt. The problem isn't with Objects in Motion its with how superspeed (and by extension quickness) is applied. Anet shot themselves in the foot with Qscrapper when they changed Speed of Synergy. There is not enough build freedom if you want to apply group SS.

Both of those skills cant be used by pve quickness scrapper. You really need blast and shredder for quickness and grenades for explosive temper and any kind of dps. Elixirs are very underwhelming without alchemy anyways.

you can take jugaranaut trait and play with flamethrower as well upkeeping 15-20might

ppl complained on retaliation, i personaly not had problem with it with my build

 

but now retaliation gone so you schold be even more tanky now

 

You play it like Assasin (thief) but you can also 1vs many as your defense allows you

 

 

Your burst on rifle 4+5+3 then you swap back to flamethrower 3+1 spam, and 5 in cause enemy dodge
