Game Crashing

I played a lot of GW2 throughout all the expansions all the way back from release. The game randomly crashed more and more as time went on but my PC was probably getting more and more out of date and slower so I put it down to that. I eventually had to stop playing GW2 unfortunately as my PC would crash and it wouldn't even let me open the task manager to close the application. Along with other smaller reasons I quit GW2, the crashing was the main reason. Yes I tried repair and install, which didn't work.

 

Fast forward a year or 2 and I have a new PC, all singing and dancing, high spec and play other games such as ff14 Genshin Impact etc. None of which crash and run smoothly on max settings, as you would expect from a modern expensive high spec PC. I decided to download GW2 with the intension of starting a fresh character on my old account but first logged on one of my max level characters just to see what I had and get a feel for the game and I genuinely got excited about the prospect. Went to join in some fun on a random map, with all the graphics settings on default might I add.

 

Running around killing stuff... game crashes on my brand new PC with a clean install and can't even open the task manager. This was within 1, maybe 2 hours max of playing. I don't want technical support, trust me I tried everything last time and I'm not risking this happening again and potentially destroying my new PC, which was over 1500 quid. I just wanted to write this topic, firstly just to vent my frustration and secondly to ask if anyone else experiences regular crashes. I wouldn't mind the odd crash but it's very regular. Anyone in the same boat?
