Snowden Drifts CM just made more awful

Kas would buff the escort with a fairly long swiftness buff, but because of the new boon cap, it wears off sooner. Also, the boon priority on the escort is low, so it makes it even more difficult to appropriately boon the escort if your team mates are nearby. Or, alternatively, the timer could be made longer to compensate. It's actually really weird to me that the timer is testing your party's swiftness/superspeed on the escort as much, if not more than its coordination on the final boss XD.

It would also be helpful if you guys would downscale it if someone drops party/goes offline. Literally just had some troll accept the party instance and then drop out almost immediately as soon as pre event finished.

don't know why people have such an hard time with this drm, i always finish it in full cms like 5-6 minutes in advance (around that)

Somehow I doubt you finish the entire boss fight in 3 minutes.

the boss fight ? i doubt anyone with knowledge of the game and in his gameplay could take more than 3 minutes to finish it.

I mean, you destroy the ice fast, then burst it in less than 30-40 second to 1 minute and more if your dps is low, then destroy ice again then kill it.

DRM even with CMS are really easy.

That's not the right DRM you are talking about.

Snowden is the one with Ryland and unless you pull 50k dps and have teleports for his elite phase that is pretty impossible to pull off in 3 minutes.

oh well i didn't do it a lot but i don't remember being hard to do in cms to not sure how fast i did this one usualy.

And that is fine. Content for everyone. At least now players can't blame others because all the CM DRMs are soloable.

don't forget that the top players do 10x time the dmg of the average one according to the devs....
Well i guess people that try to solo drm cms are not average to but there is cleary a big skill cap between players.

this is normal, most people don't know how to dodge, how to manage their placement or their skills rotation,  how to do a good build... arena has  accustomed his community to spam 1 on hp sponges champions.

Very few people try raids, fractals or even strikes so inevitably as soon as the boss has some mechanics to remember, my god it's the drama

 

We saw it very well at the release of the HOT expansion where everyone cried at the slightest difficulty.

 

Instead of trying to improve, players always ask for nerf .This is the first mmo where I see so many complaints at the slightest challenge.

 

it's called challenge mode, so it makes sense that not all players validate these achievements

Don't worry, If ANet wanted to change the difficulty of this mission they would have done so by now.

 

The GW2 community has more casual gamers than most other MMO's. That would explain the amount of complaints about difficult content.

And to add: I't not just players who don't know the basics that have issues with this mission. I know how to dodge. I completed all strikes and other DRMs. Completed some raids as well. Not saying I'm any close to a top skill level but I know my build and class, tried different builds as well. Tried to speedboost the NPCs to the boss fight but still have little time.

I've never failed Snowden with all 3 CMs active except for one time, which was when people were still new to the mission.

 

Also, people have learnt to not steal the speed buff bursts by standing directly in the NPCs. At least most of the random players with whom I have played these past couple of months.

 

I actually find the timer a nice challenge, because all other DRMs leave you with way too much time to finish the boss.

That's actually why I feel that Snowden CM should be adjusted, because it's an anomaly among the other DRMs. I think a simple tweak of adding 1.5 - 2 mins extra time should be sufficient, primarily because the Snowden timer begins the exact second the pre-events are completed, and you lose about half a minute just waiting around for the NPCs to finish talking throughout the mission. Compare this to, say, Caledon Forest, where the timer doesn't even start until you arrive at Hanto Trading Post.
