Cant get past character select. If i get lucky and get in game, if i travel a far distance using a waypoint, the game stays on the loading screen for a unbarable ammount of time, eventually crashing.

After logging into my account, I choose my character and I cant get past the character select menu. The play button on the bottom right gets greyed out. I can only shuffle between the characters I have made on the menu, but it wont load my character, not even the loading screen appears. If i get lucky, pass the leasing screen and get in game, if i travel a far distance using a way point, the game stays on the loading screen for a unbearable amount of time, eventually crashing and showing this error "The game client lost its connection to the server. Please wait a few minutes before restarting the client and trying again. (Code = 7:0:0:1046:101)". Everything was fine before the patch, now the game just poops itself constantly. I've restarted my router, PC, but that didn't work. I don't want to re-download the game but i might have to at this point. Please if someone knows any thing to help this that would be amazing.

Try -repair flag instead of reinstalling, it will try to fix the huge dat file
