Terek.8923
I have been playing since launch but i never really used task manager to check how much resources the game was using till now. I just did. Its using 10,000 MB of ram. I have only 16 GB of ram and with my web browser open and listening to Spotify, along with all the other background processes almost 97% of my ram is being used. When i read the requirements for the game just now it says the game should be using only 4 GB of ram. Why is mine so much higher? Inculpatus cedo.9234
I only have 8GB RAM, and I only use about 75-80% of RAM with other applications open. So, just checked. GW2 using the same amount as Firefox running with 9 instances. Actually, a bit less. 1,302 MB (About 20% of memory.) Thus, something is amiss with yours, I'd guess.
Infusion.7149
Don't conflate usage with allocation. It's perfectly capable of running with 8GB RAM but with more swapping. In fact, the 64 bit client was made to address the 4GB RAM+VRAM issue: 32-bit apps crash to desktop when out of memory rather than using swap (pagefile) Edited May 21, 2021 by Infusion.7149
Terek.8923
its ok i figured it out. it was d912pxy. i had done the uninstall for d912pxy but it had not uninstalled properly but after i manually removed the DLL's for d912pxy the usage is now down to 3 GB like it should be
Infusion.7149
It's probably a memory leak in the DLL
