i need help to understand music notes

Recommended Posts

hello, maybe u use the music box archive where u can copy some songs for autokey to play it automatic ingame with a macro

but i want to play some of them with my hand, for that they have some manual notes, but my big question is, in some notes u can read like "{31▼5}"

and what i cant understand is, - 345 means u play 345 yea.. {345} means u play that together in one button,  ▼ means u take the deeper notes, but whats about  "{31▼5}" ? i mean u cant play something together while u change the high, i mean u can play [31] and then ▼  5 but thats wrong

can somebody help me with ingame music knowledge?

no, sadly not, this website is for the autoplay script, but if u want to play it with your hand they have a note paper for that, and on a lot notes u can see u need to play that what i write, and i cant understand how to play that

maybe guys what use that webiste know that and can tell me

ps, i use things like that becouse they have better notes, they have some songs with multi notes "146" "486" where u but more notes together for better sound, the other note paper what i saw are all with only 1 note step by step, from gw2 forum or gw2 wiki, maybe u know a better place to find nice songs to play it ingame

Can you link the site? I'll take a look at it, maybe i can figure something out.

As far as i can tell, it's probably meant to be played with a delay? As in, 31 together, switch octave down, then 5?

Or... They're meant to be played with a macro where it can switch so fast that you can barely hear the delay. If that's so, then play the notes you can, and ignore the octave shift. It'll sound a bit emptier without the lower note, but other than that, the notes will be correct.

Yes, judging from this, it's meant to be played with macros and the arrow parts with either a delay or there's some technique i don't know about to pull this off. You can always just play the root note in chords and intervals, it'll sound correct, just won't be the whole chord.

I've just checked a AHK script, here is what i can tell about it:

Let's assume you have this notation (from "Happy Birthday"):

{35} {35} {63▼51} 5 ▲ {135} ▼ 5 {5▲38} 1 {72▼52} 2 5 2

{35} = press & release 3+5
{35} = press & release 3+5
{63▼51} = press & release 6+3 // change octave DOWN // press & release 5+1
5 = press & release 5
▲ = change octave UP
{135} = press & release 1+3+5
▼ = change octave DOWN
5 = press & release 5
{5▲38} = press & release 5 // change octave UP // press & release 3+8
1 = press & release 1
{72▼52} = press & release 7+2 // change octave DOWN // press & release 5+2
2 = press & release 2
5 = press & release 5
2 = press & release 2

Note:  press & release = (the note bound to the key at the same time). You can't tell the correct timing/pause between the notes from the notation, but from the AHK-Script, where the delay is noted in milliseconds. Also keep in mind to use the correct instrument when playing the notes and make sure to always press the keys in the correct order (like 3 and then 5, not 5 and then 3) to avoid the notes being on "cooldown" when you need them.

Hope that helps 🙃
