Unbreakable Gathering Tools - Very Dissapointed

I have been playing for a few weeks with the basic copper gathering tools and have never had a runined gather - everything has been useful. I just decided to buy the Unbreakable Gathering Tools from the Gem store (2400 Gems) - forgetting the rights and wrongs of whether it was the right thing to do, I would have thought that they should perform at least as well as the Copper Gathering tools I was using before. 

It is quite the opposite - I would say since equipping the unbreakable Gathering Tools about 95% of what I gather is runined - this seems counter intuitive and frankly a waste of the money spent on the gems. So, two questions:

1. Is this normal (and if so why)
2. Is there somehwre I can report this if it isn't normal so I can get it fixed?

That is not normal at all, your are supposed to be able to mine/chop/harvest anything with those.

 

I use a level 50 and gather mithril and orichalcium for example that is lvl 80 stuff.

Only thing I can think off is you havent equiped the tools.

 

Do remember that if you want them on another character you have to unequip and transfer them to that character.

Yep - Number 1 noob mistake- I hadn't equipped them - very odd though that my copper ones that up to the point of purchase had worked flawlessly and almost failed to work at all though once I had purchased them.

Never mind -Game 1- me 0

Glad I could help, your copper tools only work on first map and some of the second, if you go further into the second map and encounter iron and gumbo saplings for example you need the next tool grade or unbreakable ones.
