QuirkyDM.2351
At first I thought it was me not paying attention, but I've been watching and it's definitely the case. I am in Reaper's Shroud with Dread traited. I use Terrify and now Infusing Terror is on cool down. I kill some adds and Dread is not proc'ing and reducing the Infusing Terror cooldown. The place I notice this most recently is the Dragonfall meta when trying to disrupt the Brandstorm. Branded pop up continuously and no matter how many I mow down, Dread isn't reducing the recharge. It's not a cool down thing- I kill adds all throughout the Shroud uptime and never see Infusing Terror recharge faster. Is this intentional? Some of these meta are nothing but adds, no boss involved. (like the Dragonfall meta I mentioned) I've seen it in a few other places, too. I believe Ley-line anomaly shows the same issue. Anyone else noticing this? ZeftheWicked.3076
There can be 2 causes: 1. Dread has 3s cooldown. Not sure about it myself, but may be the cd reset feature also is bound by it. 2. Some mobs are 'dead' for purposes of "on kill" effects. You can get downed, kill an add, and you don't get rallied though you should, as if that mob was never alive, that kinda stuff. QuirkyDM.2351
Thanks, @ZeftheWicked.3076. 1. It was definitely not a cooldown issue- I was killing mobs long after the CD had expired. 2. I have run into that before- like the displaced mobs in Bloodstone Fen. Though I'm pretty sure these mobs were giving life force, so I'll have to keep track of these mobs and find out which ones allow Dread, life force and/or rallying. Asum.4960
I'm not sure if that's the case here, but it might be tied to Experience like Renewed Justice, where if an Add is set to not grant experience, it will not trigger any on kill effects as mob exp gain seems to be how the game recognizes the death of an entity. Maybe look out for that. E: Lifeforce somehow seems to be coded differently and applies to all deaths though, applying even to allied Minions, Spirits and even Renegade Summons perishing/timing out - so it's no indicator to On enemy death Traits and such which are tied to experience gain. I think it might be this. Necro has another trait, that only triggers on enemies that "drop" experience. It's the upper grandmaster trait in death magic. It only spawns a minion, if it the defeated enemy "drops" experience. I think this was mainly introduced for raids. I can remember necros running around with a horse of minions, that were all applying bleed on Autoattack, and the healers sole purpose was, to keep the minions alive xD
