The new Defiant Glass and Zodiac weapons look FANTASTIC

My faves are the Defiant Glass Sword and the Zodiac Shield. I am Chinese year of the Rat, so I also may get the dagger.

Not new but I genuinely appreciate your excitement and discovery of something new to you!  Unfortunately they don't go with any of my character aesthetics so far, but I rather like the defiant glass ones.

I wish there were more players like you who realize that there are new players every day, every month, every year.  We old-timers say we want more people on the maps and doing events, but then ridicule them when they speak up  or show enthusiasm for what is, to them, new.  OP, I'm glad you love these weapon skins; I do too.  Am working on completing the Defiant Glass set now.  (And check out the Equinox set on the TP or in the wiki -- my favorite set of all-time!)  Of the Defiant Glass set, the Shield is my favorite, since you asked.  I need to look at the Zodiac ones more carefully and maybe pick one.  Happy gaming!!

^Yes.  It's very nice to see support for not only new players, but positive enthusiasm.

 

Zodiac is one of my favorites of all time, and one of the few sets that tempt me to use shields on my chars.  I loved the Zodiac weapons in GW1, too, and I feel like they did an especially good job of translating them and still making them look awesome for GW2.  Equinox is my other favorite as well, I'm working on the full set of that as well.

 

Have you checked out the Phoenix and Dragon Jade sets?  I like them together, especially with Cantha coming.

Oops didn't realize they weren't new, just new to me. 

I'm not a new player -- I'm a returning player. I was in the beta back in 2012 and played obsessively for a few years but then took a long break when I moved to a new country in 2015. I'm back and loving the "new" stuff. 😄

Every  time the black lion chest changes, we get two sets of older skins you can buy with tickets. Those skins come out not in the chests, but avaible for one black lion claim ticket each. When they go up in price, usually to 2 or 3 tickets, they get put into the black lion chest rotation.
