Gates of Maguuma Achievement bugged?

I can't get progress for the Gates of Maguuma Achievements. 

Specifically I tried to do the achievements in the first story instance "Disturbance in Brisban Wildlands".

There are 3 achievements and I am 100% certain I did them correctly, but I got credit for none.

Where I think the bug comes from is that I am replaying the story with a friend who already has all the achievements done, does this somehow bug it?

I was the one opening the instances too.

If this is a bug, it's absolutely terrible and if not then maybe I missed something?

For example the achievements where you have to protect the seraph workers I am 100% certain we did this because we instantly killed all the enemies before they were even able to get close to the NPC's we have to protect.

All of the LS2 story instance related achievements can only be completed on a character who has already completed the episode.

Hence why it changed season 3+ after complaints.

I get that, but knowing that many people will replay those Seasons due to the event right now, they should have changed it

Changing old, old content more often brings more bugs than any possible advantage.

Case in point:  the change to the Personal Story  (which had to be reverted due to the bugs it caused).

That's not my experience.  A character on my account has already done season 2 and when I went through the first 2 parts yesterday with a different character I completed some of the achievements I missed the first time around.

5 months ago I decided to do all LWS2 achievements, and wanted to do it with a character that hasn't the story cleared because I wanted the rewards.

Foudn out I wasn't getting credit, so I went back to my main character who already completed lws2 just to do the achievements as I wanted to do.
