Veprovina.4876
I was trying to do some story missions for achievements, but since i already completed that chapter it offered to replay it. Ok, i clicked that and - i have to do the entire chapter from scratch? I tried clicking around and stuff but couldn't find it. So... Am i dumb and couldn't find a way or is there really no way to replay just certain missions of the story? Like, for example, i have to fight the final boss of the chapter and do some achievement and if i fail, i have to do the entire chapter again just to retry the boss? Please tell me there's a way to select which missions we want to replay!
SoftFootpaws.9134
You don't have to do them in order, just go to the locations where you started each mission (if you can remember, or use the wiki). They'll show a purple star instead of green.. 3

I was half-tempted to try it next week to see if it'd count (I'm 90% sure it would) to skip all of the filler that many episodes have. 1

It's weird that isn't indicated anywhere in the UI though. Or maybe i didn't see it, i would have never guessed i can just skip the episodes by going to the specific star thing i want to play. 20 minutes ago, Ayrilana.1396 said: There should be purple icons for the instances. Like, the first mission of the chapter i'm interested in trying the achievements for is Spoiler Eir Stegalkin's funeral Like, that takes a LONG time, has no achievements and while it was ok the first time as an intro, i'd rather just get to the point you know? Ayrilana.1396
Yep that's one instance which I'm hoping that I can skip. Ember Bay was also one that had a ton of filler from what I remember as your entire time on the map was doing boring open world chores with the story instances being at the very beginning and end of the episode. Yeah, Draconic mons kinda as well. I mostly remember doing open world and maybe talking to the druids, then back to open world, and while there was an epic fight at the end, most of it was weirdly empty. Or probably just not as impactful to stick with me. In any case - this is about achievments - they require certain story missions and parameters wihin and i'd rather just do those and try for achievements than play the entire chapter. If all it takes is to just go to the place where that mission starts, that's great, that's all i want lol! Will try one out tomorrow.
Dawdler.8521
Yes you *only* need to do the mission specified in the achievement if you've already done them on that character. No need to do them in order by active mission. I took a chance on it myself yesterday because I got bored with the talking and talking and taaaaaaaaaalking. You can skip a fair bit of story. 1

Oddly I liked the open world stuff in Ember Bay far more than the story instances.
