Dainank.1308
A Clay Pot is an item that you can craft with the Artificer discipline. It is time gated which leads me to assume it is quite important/useful? It can further be crafted into Infused Clay Pots: Chaos Infused Clay Pot Ley Line Infused Clay Pot Mists Infused Clay Pot This is where I get confused regarding what their purpose is. The wiki baffles me and does not really explain their use so could someone please explain to me why you would ever craft these and what purpose they serve? Many thanks in advance! Only Mawdrey. The wiki pages have a tree diagram showing the process. For items that have more than one use, the wiki will have a section that lists all the uses of the item. E.g. if I go to https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Brick_of_Clay you can see a Used In section that lists the items by crafting profession.
Danikat.8537
There's several craftable items like that which are only needed for one specific item or a small number of items. For example each legendary requires a crafted item which has no other purpose (like the unicorn statue for the Dreamer and the gift of colour for the Bifrost) or the prismatium ingots which are only used to craft the various dragonslayer weapons. Incidentally you can work this out from the Wiki, it's just not explicitly stated (maybe it should be?). For example the clay pot page tells you it's only used to craft those 3 other pots, and then their pages have no information except how to acquire them and instructions for using them to craft Mawdrey. By process of elimination that tells you they're not used for anything else. (The possible exception to that is new items. The Wiki is updated by players so if something has just been added to the game it might be that no one knows all the uses for it yet. You can check if that's the case by looking at the history tab at the top of the page to see how old the article is.)

Much appreciated.
