Yea, making old content replayable is nice and all that

 

but even the worst designer knows they need to add new reward to old content.

 

but this?...old content with existing reward? really?

yea i guess they know how lacking the update is that they straight out giving out legendary.

but...wth...

 

its basically like, here play old content with 0 new reward and nothing and we will give you a legendary trinket after 5 months. and this legendary trinket  probably take us less time to make then ice weaver shoulder.

 

i would care less about legendary, i care about proper content

There is a new reward (multiple, even).

And as with anything else, if you don't like it, just don't go out of your way to play it.

I thought the rewards were worth it.  Not bad for a couple of days' play.

There is always the guys like felix in every game. They know the dev focus is on expansion so ANet is giving us small things to do that take little dev work, but thats not good enough for them. 

Then he says there is no reward.. but then talks about the legendary.. like back and forth much?

Its not really giving out a legendary either, we don't know what all we are going to have to do or spend gold on yet.

What's not to like?  A free update, you don't HAVE to do it, you get 9 mystic coins (I opted for the 6 coins, not a pact fleet weapon), get to play some relaxing and east content, and eventually hopefully get a legendary.

 

I say hopefully cuz there could be some huge future cost or mega hard achievement down the line, though with the armory coming up I think anet wants most players to have something to start it with.

 

Also still waiting for a legendary underwater breather.  Maybe a legendary trait would be having one breather for all three armor weights

It is better than doing drms for 6 more months which was probably the original plan based on original prismatite costs and acquisition rates.

I do not believe anet did not know how much grind champions had in it. What they did not expect was how much the community would despise the content.

I absolutely hated the Dry Top map when it came out....just not a fan of the special movement skills...but even so I went back for this event and, with mounts, and new rewards, am enjoying it.

I quite liked the small rewards they added. It only took a couple of hours to finish it all (which I also liked) and it felt worth it.

 

I don't mind revisiting old content and I like that they're releasing the achis/rewards a little bit at a time. The Pact Skins are like 50g~ each too, it's not like it's a tiny reward considering how little time it takes to do everything.

i suggested on old forum that, befor xpac, would be good give LS stuff (chapters for free), because the maind carrot for xpac is the ppl who drove into history.
