Kaliwenda.3428
I'm honestly puzzled about Braham's actions during Dragonstorm. I don't understand why he's punching US...I get that he doesn't have his bow so all he has is his fists and the wolves he conjures, but he tells us to 'Kill Ice!" while he's not going after any of the Icebrood or Ryland that are in there with us...what exactly is he trying to do there? Shouldn't he be attacking Ryland along with us? Is it something to do with the hold that Primordus has over him since he became Champion? Does Jormag want Primordus to die, but Primordus wants Jormag to stay alive to preserve the balance? Is Primordus keeping Braham from attacking Ryland? Are the spirits of the wild preserving Braham's will enough so that he can tell us to kill Ryland even though Primordus doesn't want that? Is that why we hear someone say "Braham knew the risks" at the start of the event? Edited May 29, 2021 by Kaliwenda.3428 1
radda.8920
If you start looking for consistency in this saga ... the devs did not understand what they did themselves 1 1 5

Is that why we hear someone say "Braham knew the risks" at the start of the event? They point blank explain/showcase this back in the Wildfire story instance, and the Fireheart Rise DRM. Braham became the champion of Primordus, and while the Spirits of the Wild are helping protect his mind from Primordus's influence, the sheer power of the Elder Dragon is slowly consuming him. This is why he starts off friendly, but then goes hostile, and needs to be knocked back into a friendly state in the Fireheart Rise DRM. Similar to how Snaff was having issues keeping Kralkatorrik down in the Edge of destiny novel. An Elder Dragon's mind is vast, and powerful, beyond reason. No one can control it for long. By the time Dragonstorm happens, hes been consumed by Primordus' need to fight Jormag, and sees everything else besides the Destroyers as enemies. Primordus wants to kill Jormag, but it also wants to kill everything that isn't it also, so we are just as much of targets as Ryland is. As we see once we slap him around a bit, and then get out of the way, Braham goes to attacking Ryland(clashing champions). Both are also fighting each other, and jumping around the map, during the phases to destroy the ley line siphons. Ashantara.8731
Braham: *15 foot tall, lava skin, red glowing eyes, growls like a wild animal* Commander: "Braham, are you... yourself?" Braham: *roars, punches brainlessly around* Any more questions? 😂 P.S. Even the "genius" Taimi doesn't seem to get it. Pretty sad show. Well if Taimi the genius didn't get it then I don't feel so bad. I definitely missed a lot story-wise during the Braham becoming/being Champion stuff; I think I need to revisit the part where he decides to become Champion again.

Yeah, it's pretty silly that Jormag and Primordus are at each other's throats but the only time you see their champion's interacting with each other is when they're in the breakbar bubble. You would think they could have devised the fight a little differently to show them ACTUALLY fighting each other and us being caught in the middle. Might be difficult to do given they each have their own mechanics. One possible alternative is having the champions go awaul and start attacking the other's elder dragon and THAT'S when we have to break their breakbar.. to keep them from doing too much damage or giving their dragon too much of an advantage. Another possibility is having each dragon send waves of minions and we fight WITH the Braham or Rhytlock to destroy them and save the champion. I personally would have liked to have seen an extra phase on this fight in which we go into the domain or something while Braham and Rhytlock are fighting and see some full-figured model of each elder dragon similar to how we saw with Mordremoth and Kralk. Perhaps we have to split up and go into them. But I guess that isn't necessary since they're killing each other and we don't need any of that metaphysical other dimension stuff this time around. As for what we got - It feels more like they're working together than working against each other. Which feels like it might be opposite of what they planned. The whole fight takes like.. what.. 20 minutes? I guess that's probably great for some people but it seems a bit short considering it's a two hour wait window. The rewards are pretty bad as well but considering the effort I guess they're really not that terrible. As to why? The budget was low and they wanted to create something fast and simple for gameplay. That's pretty much it.

They do. During the "destroy the ley line siphon" stage you can see Ryland and Braham duking it out, punching/kicking each other around the map, and super man jumping all over the place, before they land and do the clashing breakbar section. 4

This is easy to miss when you're focused on the ley lines. I've only seen this once or twice on my way from one ley line to another. It usually happens behind my back and the first time I saw it I was really surprised.
