Firebrand lore question

Hello! New to the lore and RP community here. Actually sort of new to the game overall, I started a while back, stopped when I realized GW1 was still running, played through that for a long while, now I'm back here. ANYWAY. I made an Elonian guardian, and I'd like some info on firebrands. I know skill-wise in terms of actual gameplay they focus on Elonian history and stories, which is fine, because my guy is Elonian, it works well. But what is the general thought or consensus regarding them branching out? Would a firebrand feasibly move on to Cantha and record more history there when the time comes? Or would they return to their original duties now that Elona is free?

Did you speak with the firebrand NPC in Desert Highlands?

Well yes but no. I haven't leveled up that far yet but I have read the wiki entry. I understand the purpose behind the firebrands, but I'm more asking if post-Path of Fire, would it be believable that one didn't return to their original purpose as Roni Gehianu said was their end goal. But instead decided to continue recording and uncovering stories elsewhere.

Strictly speaking this subforum isn't the best place to connect directly to any RP community that GW2 may or may not have,  but we will of course try our best to answer any questions.

However, in the case of Firebrands, what you've already read about them is pretty much all there is.  Lack of sufficient lore for many of the elite specs has been one of Anet's failings.

yes. Although the actual skill names reference Elonian history, firebrands are basically the bards of this game (both in-game as a support spec and lore wise). They are wandering people who recant past history. Instead of songs, they "tell" stories. The Firebrand NPC actually says "chanting war mantras" for even more standard MMO bard flair.

The only thing I know about firebrand lore is that they used to reveal harsh truths, which for some reason always remined me of Ben Shapiro's "Facts don't care about your feelings", but they don't do that anymore.

The only link I can make to Shapiro from Firebands is them coming from Elonia, the driest climate of Tyria, free of the devil's moisture.
