Please remove equipment cost from pvp

With runes and amulets shrinking, why  is there even a cost?

 

You are a newer player wanting to try the meta after you just bought the game with xps, and you go to pvp to find out you must pay 5 and 10 gold to hop in and use good looking runes.....

 

It is minor, but I really don't see the justification to having a cost.

 

It was nice when you had premade builds that would give you free weapons too.

 

I suggest adding a vendor with pve zero damage and stat weapons (because they are normalized in pvp) that you can get for free as well.

 

A new player doesnt always have the time or knowledge to go make gold as easily, and  it should just be free because it does not work anywhere else.....

You need a gold sink for PvP. That's basic economy for an MMO. There won't be any change to this unless you can introduce another force gold sink for PvP. Right now you get raw money every match, and you barely are forced to spend gold on anything else.

That might be true, but I doubt that is the cause for this. Realistically every rune should cost 10 gold, and sigil 5 gold, and amulet 15 gold.

 

To even play you should have to buy some equipment here in pvp.

 

You get only the basics, what you are created with or what you bring from the Living World, if you want to compete in pvp.

 

So, as a new player you should just be totally screwed.

 

It should be all or none, and they got gold sinks in the fancy pants armors from leagues, and the BLC is right there.

If players want to come into this game as new, and primarily want to go into pvp pretty much right away, they got to earn gold to have full access to structured pvp and equipment they can't take with them.
