BlueJin.4127
Ever since the 5/25 update, I've been getting terrible lag spikes non-stop. It happens everywhere in the game. It can't be the game since I don't hear other players talking about this severe lag. And it can't be my connection since all my other games work just fine. Tried all sorts of tests and checks but can’t figure out why GW2 is having issues. No GW2 mods running, no firewall blocks, no issues with my internet speeds or pings, tried resetting router, etc. Edited June 1, 2021 by BlueJin.4127
Inculpatus cedo.9234
You can try a program like PingPlotter to see where your connection issue lay. Be aware: You can not normally ping AWS servers. Good luck.

TheQuickFox.3826
I'm having no issues as well, connecting from ZeelandNet ISP, The Netherlands. So, whatever the issue is, it is not universal.

Map loading times are still awful, but the lag spikes have gone away.

Try use a vpn to rule out hardware issues then talk to your internet service provider.
Grytpype.9813
Having the same issue since yesterday. No problems before yesterday and then massive delays to input response and 2-3 d/cs. Updated graphics drivers as suggested above, still getting d/cs and lag.

Someone in another thread mentioned delayed input response specifically. The updated video drivers fixed many of my apparent latency problems, but that one still occasionally persists. I was stuck on my mount at the Dragonfall meta today as repeatedly mashing x had no effect. And occasionally in battle (usually on a busier map), keystrokes just ... disappear into the void. I've never found anything that solves the occasional DC. And since those most often occur when finishing a story episode and returning from a cut scene, that's one I'd love to have fixed. I've complete reconfigured my home network several times in the past year. Not due to GW2, but just because I needed to. I've tried disabling AV, adding specific firewall exceptions, disabling my firewall. I honestly think this is a load-balancing problem on ANet's end.
