Choice.5736
I know it 'goes against' the general design but I stated this back in 2012 and still feel the same way today, this game would be so darn epic if it had at least 1 pvp server ruleset. Whether that be something insane like FFA or factions somehow. I know it would require some tweaking to world design but I have a strong feeling quite a few players who love the core principles of pvp in this game but don't feel like PVEing and gearing for wvw or the - in my opinion - mostly awful sPVP metafest. I guess I just really miss my wildstar lvling experience on the pvp servers at launch. I know it will never happen but after reinstalling the other day after not playing since 2012 and having some fun for a little bit but ultimately losing interest, felt like a dream post was warranted =P. 2
WWWWWWWW.6742
It's criminal that this game has so little in the ways of pvp with such an amazing combat system. WvW is a great concept, but doesnt scratch that open world itch. EotM and Obsidian sanctum both have an arena clearly made for fights, but since you are hard-bound to one of three teams it makes fighting a friend on the same server as you a chore, especially now - you can't really have an accurate fight since pvp/wvw/pve have separate skill stats. An FFA area / mode would be nice. Or, you know, implementing dueling. Open world pvp (a server dedicated to it) would be a godsend to me and would change the whole dynamics of the game. Or even the ability to become pk flaggable like mmos of old. Sitting around as a non-pk player and watching two player-killers in open world suddenly get in a fight was always entertaining. I know a few friends who would be very interested in GW2 if it had a open world pvp server. Edited June 2, 2021 by WWWWWWWW.6742 4

Especially if they added a way to queue for bracketed low lvl battlegrounds while one leveled. This allows a very natural and fun way to learn classes as you go. I think back to wildstar pvp servers and man, that was some of the most fun I've had leveling in an mmo in years! I know this will never happen but I honestly can't help but feel like it's egregiously wasted potential for those who love the wpvp server ruleset in games.
