No Rewards After Completing Each Story Instance?

I have not been receiving the rewards that are usually at the bottom of the swords + shield animation after completing each story instance. Its literally blank for me. Oddly, the person I am partied with while we do story together has been receiving these rewards. I do receive the rewards for completing each Tier in the Bonus Event, but the rewards for completing each story instance is non-existent for me.

 

Has anyone experienced this at all?

 

I did reach out to support but was met with the "we are unable to help with rewards regarding achievements", which makes no sense?

Whenever you receive such an answer that doesn't make sense, it is likely automated. Respond accordingly, further explaining the problem.

 

Question: have you done those story steps with this particular character before? If so, that would explain why you didn't receive a (second) reward. If not, then it's likely that it happened because it was your teammate's story instance, not yours.

I thought that too, that its possibly because I am replaying it with the toon I originally completed every story with. However, is this true? Can anyone confirm that they have also replayed the story with a toon that has already completed it and has not received anything? It'll help clear up a lot of questions.

 

And it was my story instance. My friend still received the rewards. Granted, he was playing with a toon that has not completed the story. 

 

Some confirmation and real communication from Anet would be nice.

Of course. Story rewards are always handed out only once per character. Replaying a story on the same character does not make them eligible for a second (or third etc) reward.

Well, tested that out today and regardless of what toon I played with, rewards seemed to be bugged for me only. Customer support is all thats left...

You played a mission with a character that had never played that mission before, and were the instance-owner?

 

As to the CS Team, likely they will just redirect you to post on the forums, as they, usually, can't fix Stories (or hand out rewards from bugged Stories).

Not to assume anything, but did you ensure you went to your Story Journal and selected "Replay this episode"?

When you replay with a character that already played the story, you should still be receiving credit for the new Bonus Event achievements.

 

Are you referring to instance rewards? You only get those from the character's first playthrough.
