Name Change Contract Question

"Double-click to change your character name once. The abandoned name will be reserved for you to reclaim on a different character for 24 hours. This item will be destroyed when finished. "

 

I'd like to move my current name to a different character. Does that mean I need 2 contracts (one to change the current name, another to change the second character's name to the current one)? The way it's worded makes it seems like an alt can just use the old name for free, but nothing is specifically mentioned.

If it is a character you already made then yes you need another contract.

 

If you got a free slot and will make a character 1 name change contract is enough.

yes you need 2, first to change the name to your old character and second to assign it to the new once the reservation time has passed. 

 

However unless is a class or race thing, Have you considered a total makeover kit? It will cheaper and will allow you to change the appearance and sex of the character.

You don't need to wait until after the reservation period if you're reusing a name you already had.

 

The 24 hour reservation period stops other people from taking the name, it doesn't stop the current owner from using it. It's there so if you want to delete or re-name a character and then make a new one with the same name you can take your time in the character creator to get them right, instead of feeling rushed because someone might grab the name while you're doing it.
