Luthan.5236
I'm currently trying to plan on how to best to the tide turner and top dragon responder achievements - a real grind. (First time it really got grindy cause you need to repeat it a lot of times for every DRM not just jumping at a timed event and doing it 10-15 times - which was easy in Bjora for the meta. Hopefully they will add PvP reward tracks for the stretch emote and the champions meta achievement then I can just ignore the DRMs lol.) So ... the tide turner might be easy by just doing the achievement where the normal mobs are a bit stronger - seems reasonable to do it solo. But might need some time if you repeat the first part until you get the correct needed allied faction. (Unless you want to pay to get a faction of your choice - which is costly since those defense seels are rare and limited and a real grind to obtain. Especially if you want to used them for other stuff. Already seems grindy to me to get just the ones needed for unlocking the mastery stuff lol. :D) Tried the end boss challenge solo once ... and it seems to be a pain. (The boss already seems to have a lot of HP when solo without challenge fighting him.) Is it a lot easier when doing it as a group? Has someone done research on the scaling? If the hp scaled up 5 times for 5 players ... it would be a pain. But I doubt it is just the same as with 1 player or upscaled only by *2 or so. Maybe something like 3 times the HP for 5 players as compared to 1 player (solo)? Considering trying to go for groups at dailies with the lfg tool and going for top responder first. (Then checking which factions are missing for the tide turner to fill that up solo maybe.)
Blood Red Arachnid.2493
It is easier in a group, mostly because you can get a healer to carry the whole team. The way things scale, the enemies are more than 5 times stronger with 5 players. This is done because groups grow in power geometrically as they grow in size, so the enemies do the same in response. But, if you have a good healbrand, then everything will be pretty easy. There's one exception, though: Snowden DRM does not get easier with more people. Ryland is quite difficult, and the timer on the CM is extremely short. I don't have a static or guild, so I was forced to pug that one, and the pugs leave a lot to be desired. If you have a good group, go for it. Otherwise... I had the most success in Snowden CM with a thief (Daredevil for escort, Deadeye for boss) and Chronomancer. Though that was a balance patch ago, so things may have changed.
Zaxares.5419
For Tide Turner, you can actually get the achieves fairly easily solo by choosing the Time Limit (Snowden is the only tricky one that you may struggle with) and then picking which faction you want to show up. For Top Dragon Responder... That I would definitely recommend doing in a group, unless you are an absolutely superb player. (I have a guildie who decided to challenge himself by completing all CM DRMs solo. He managed it, but he wouldn't recommend the experience unless you're a masochist. XD)
Ayrilana.1396
I personally found it easier to do all of the achievements solo as they do scale. The only one that I would recommend doing in a group is the Fireheart one to prevent any of the NPCs from dying. Paradoxoglanis.1904
Just play rev, mirage, or scourge. All 3 can easily solo DRMs with all the challenges active. Both power and condi rev are op, mirage just has to dodge with staff, scourge can just button mash.
