Dont nerf Trapper Rune without knowing its impact

From my perspective the calls to nerf trapper rune while can be valid should be considered carefully. Without trapper rune dh is dead. ALready burn dh was nerfed to oblivion, only power dh remains and a dh wioth no mobility aside from trapper rune and 11k base hp is going to be melted by any other class. Without trapper rune, dh is completely dead and wiht firebrand already useless, that leaves only core support guard and maybe core condi build.

The rune is broken, and needs to be nerfed, if not completely removed.

There is nothing to consider further.

The least that needs to happens with this rune is the removal of Stealth.

Stealth does not belong on any iteration of Guardian.

 

 "Burn DH nerfed to oblivion" is objectively a lie.

They still have no problems downing average players in less than two seconds.

Burn dh sword of justice is useless, burn dh passive was nerfed, symbols burning were nerfed and only new players can get downed by the traps if they tank it. it is pretty easy to get out of the traps, only the power one does a lot of damage rapidly which is why it is good. Also, dh gives up full sustain to do that, it only has disengaging potential from rune of the trapper and f2, nothing else. If u remove stealth, dh has no option but to use its utilites for sustain, which means to give up traps which make dh sort of useless in team fights. Core guard would be a able to do just as much damage with more sustain.

Rune of trapper is one of the few fun runes in the game.

 

I wish more runes would give classes skills they normally don't access.

 

Rune of illusion (cast elite summons a clone) for example 

 

Stuff like that is fun.

 

Back to trapper rune I see nothing Oppressive with it stealth in general is just hated that's all.

It is usual stuff.. Ppl get destroyed by other players and think that the problem is the class not them. So you see threads under every profession claiming that the given profession was nerfed to oblivion and is unplayable even if they are actually overperforming. At this moment PvP is more or less balanced: literally every profession is playable and if you are good enough with even an offmeta pick you can at least climb to Plat. On the other hand players that chose a class only because it is meta at the moment are usually bad at it, they'd rather stay loyal to a class they know better even if it is offmeta. Conclusion: question yourself first before questioning the class, if you depend that much at patch notes you are a bad pvper.

If an e-spec need a specific runeset to be "viable" then this e-spec need work.

If a runeset lead a few professions to be nerfed due to it's bonus, then it's the runeset that need work.

 

Superior runes of the trapper have brought the rise and downfall of the trapper ranger and trapper thief. Now, it's calling repeatedly (because we've already got a few rounds of nerfs done) for the downfall of trapper DH. It's time to realize and accept that it's this runeset that bring imbalance.

Poor roaming druids will be massively nerfed in wvw if trapper runes are nerfed. Tsk, tsk, and they barely have anything to begin with....

Also, no one is asking for the nerf now, but I think you bringing up the topic might get the ball rolling xDDD
