Return to the Dragons Reach - Can't progress past Party Politics

Sure I am doing something stupid but have completed Party Politics twice now but it will not let me proceed to the next episode for the Return to Dragons Reach Achievement.  Any ideas?

Most likely culprit would be doing the instance via the purple retry splat instead of the normal progression green ones

Does seem to be the problem unfortunately nothing I do gets me back to the green just the purple no matter how many times I reset.

Have you tried just going to the cavern to see if there is a purple star there?

Resetting would not help. What you need to do is complete the previous steps.

I had a somewhat similar problem, in that after finishing episode 1, I was automatically moved to the last chapter of Episode 2. I didn't notice until I finished, then wondered why I hadn't gotten all the achievements. It was easy enough to start the episode over and just do the chapters that I'd skipped, so it was just a little annoying not progress halting. I thought maybe I'd been playing through Episode 2 again for achievements and had just forgotten. But the same thing happened after completing Episode 3: I was moved to the last chapter of Episode 4.

 

I would have expected resetting the whole start to start again with Episode 1 would have reset all the chapters in each episode, but in my case, it doesn't appear to have done so. Like I said, not progress-halting, but just a little confusing when you're in the moment.
