Noticed something odd in the Trading Post

So after reading about a player that just got banned for item duping I got to wondering something. Is this the reason my chest that I absolutely lucked out on nine months ago might not be actually selling. Now before you claim well yeah its a 2000+ gold item that only drops in very infrequent drops in black lion chests is not going to move at a regular speed like say Mithril, I absolutely understood this. But my issue is such, where are all the other chests coming from that are selling on the TP right now?

 

I get that we as players will hang on to such things for a insanely long period of time in our bank slots. The last time this item was available to us was  in the 2020 08-25 to 2020 09-15 Ebon Tide Chest. As per the monkey at the typewriter theory with however many players and however may people spending real money or in game gold to buy keys and chests there were probably many redeemed and many sold initially . Now I get that people could be buying and reselling the chests available for some odd reason but with such limited supply,  its nearly been a year since its last actually appeared in game, why does my bid always seem to get to the top then mysteriously five more of the same item seem to get listed. I mean seriously where are they coming from?  There is no actual supply they can be from atm and honestly since they haven't been in the game for 9+ months there should probably be only minor movement since the availability means it only should be the really outrageous bids from a scarcity perspective.

 

I get that there are whales in this game but the % to keys to chest unlocks would have to be staggering for the manipulation at this point of the year for the sale of said such item. Its also weird there are still any on the market considering that the April 27th update should have depleted the market for anyone wanting the newly included items and had the cash.

 

Maybe I'm expecting too much or being paranoid
