Still [250 Memories of Otter] continue drop from foe/events/box after all achievements completed, from weapons salvage - but no any use for them.

i collecting them since release, but season done and nothing changed. So, what to do?

Is it new precursor for gen3? new gems? new me?

I decided do gather a stack, just in case it will be needed for a legendary or anything. But beyond that I will just delete them I guess. It would be great if we could at least sell them to a vendor for some copper though.

Also: Don't know if it helps you but if you double click and consume a memory of otter, the animation will spawn. So consuming them is a way to show people the animation without having towait for it to play automatically. It's a super little use for the memories after you finished the achievement, but still...

If they made otter-themed guild hall decorations that required these to buy, that'd be one sink for them. They could also implement a gobbler of sorts that would let you trade in a set amount of otters per day for various things.

 

Or, and this is the simplest solution, add a small bit of karma to each one you consume. It could still play the animation, but it'd also have a practical purpose for continuing to loot them.

Otter themed guild decorations would be a great use for them, good suggestion.  Have a stack of those forming from Drizzlewood as well as WvW reward track, please take my otters.

Yeah, there really needs to be better conversions for IBS (as well as LS4) currencies. The simplest way would probably be just to give all of these things a vendor value. After all these years, the currency bloat in GW2 is getting pretty out of hand.

It's probably an oversight, like how Boar Bristles still drop for me even though it's only used for 2 legendary collections and I completed both years ago. At least they can be sold to merchants, but they're effectively an exotic quality junk item and I'm pretty sure Anet have actually said before that they're supposed to stop dropping once you finish the collection.

 

It would be helpful if Anet either stopped them dropping or added an easy way to get rid of them (like a vendor value).

Otter particle shows up randomly. Using the otters from your inventory can make the otter spirit appear whenever you want it to appear. It's only value (for now, but probably also forever? 😛 ) is a cosmetic one.

How can it be an oversight, when the Otter item description literally says "If the achievement is complete, reveals a vision of Otter"?

And at least Boar Bristles are worth 66c, so actually I almost welcome them as it means extra loot from the random boars that happen to get caught in my AoEs. 😉 "Vendor values solve EVERYTHING, kids!"

Thats a bit much maybe anet should tone it down to 1c
