Thanks A-Net for the free episodes of season 2.  I have them already and am not all that keen but my friend who has only recently been introduced to the game is over the moon and is rapidly becoming addicted to the game.

I bought all the other episodes with gems, plus, whatever ones i already had for free when logging in.

 

But i was absent during Season 2, and i was always on the fence about buying it. I'm glad i didn't though, as Season 3 was infinitely more useful for the trinkets they gave, and Season 2 doesn't have that (everyone on the forums suggested Season 3). But now i have it for free and i can enjoy the story and mastery points it offers.

 

I'll finally be able to master all core tyria masteries! 😄

They have to keep us ocuppied until EoD hits. 

 

The problem is they totally butchered IBS, staggered the last release into 4 different chapters just to delay as much as humanly possible, and still it wasnt anywhere close to enough, because between the 180 they did in the middle of IBS and Covid, EoD development must be going at snail's pace , they dont even have anything to show yet, let alone play.

 

thats why they did a handful of new achievements for season 2 and they are giving it for free. not out of kindness of their hearts, but because its quite literally the absolute minimum effort they can put while still giving us something.

 

its not a nice gesture. its full desperation/panic mode so people dont abandon ship for greener pastures until EoD is ready a a time when tons other MMOs are competing for our attention.
