Qazwersder.3574
I've recently (last 6 months) returned to the game and I am embarking on a complete story replay with a new elementalist. I'm currently midway though PoF and I've started using the Weaver specialization after using Tempest in HoT. I found that Tempest was quite straightforward, build might in fire fields, but I cannot see how I should be correctly playing Weaver. I'm not particularly having any issues, but I just feel like I am spamming everything. I use scepter mainhand, mostly just because it feels (looks) more "elementalisty". Can anyone offer any advice? Edit: Weaver build is: Fire - TTM, Earth - MTT, Weaver - BBB, Scepter/Focus, Trailblazers, Signet Fire, Stone Resonance, Twist of Fate, Glyph Elementals Edited June 8, 2021 by Qazwersder.3574 Add build

It's a "hit hard spell" with 0 flavour and 0 visual appeal. But it's just too kitten good to pass on...:(
Zhaid Zhem.6508
Yes. Use Dagger or Sword mainhand. You're quite bulky with your equipment, so you should not have issue to play melee. Scepter is not a bad weapon, but not easy to handle, not very effective for OW content and rolling effortless ... Otherwise your build is good. I would just suggest your to play Fire T-T-T. Pyromancer's puissance is a False good trait. You think you earn mights and dps, but no.
fuzzyp.6295
Unfortunately if you're running Trailblazers, Scepter is not a good choice. Scepter is a much better power weapon than condition with most of its heavy hitters scaling to power. If you want to run Condi Focused Weaver, run a sword. Sword is a great hybrid weapon that has both decent power and burns built in. Sword may feel clunky and not particularly, 'elemental' but once you get the hang of it it will feel alot better and play like a spell-sword. If you want to feel more like a mage though, both Staff and Scepter are best used with power builds so you'd need to redo your gear. For your traits, you seem pretty set on Fire. But despite having a number of Condi traits, Earth really is kinda lackluster for Condi builds. Its better used for survivability. It might be better to swap to Arcane so you get a reduction on your attunement swap so you can rotate between Fire/Fire and Fire/Earth quicker. Although that is us to you. For your weaver traits, if you have full Trailblazers you should already have a lot of vitality so using masters fortitude is a bit overkill. Superior Elements will add just a little bit more DPS to your rotation (not much since you're trailblaizers). You should probably be using Weaver's Prowess as well instead of Bolstered Elements. If you take these two trails because you are struggling to survive, thats fine but as you get a hand on Weaver switch them out. Same goes with Focus. Off hand focus is fine if you're starting since it offers some good survivability but switch to off hand dagger when you feel comfortable. There is a really good build that is linked on this forum here that might be worth looking into for a burn weaver for open world content:
Jski.6180
Lots and lots of power creep. The only "added" effect weaver gets over core ele and tempest is barrier and that in it self is an power creep of healing power effectiveness.
