Return to living world story not unlocking for paid alt accounts?

My main account has received the weakly in game mails with the free season 2 unlocks whilst my paid GW2 main game alt accounts have not. I assumed this was because I hadn't bothered to buy the expansions for my alt accounts. However today I got the latest episodes 5 & 6 unlocked for all of my alt accounts. Episodes 1 to 4 remained locked (despite logging in every day during the promotional period). Clearly something is odd here as either they shouldn't have got episodes 5 & 6 today or I should have all the episodes unlocked.

Episodes 1-4 had to be unlocked manually for free through the story journal for all accounts which did not have at least one level 80 character.  Prior to this week's patch, only those accounts with level 80 characters were receiving the mail with the instant story unlock items.

Ah that explains why I didn't get the previous unlocks. That's a shame as I could have easily made an instant level 80 character with tomes had I known.

You didn't need a L80 character.  You only needed to open the Story Journal and manually 'buy' the Episodes for '0' Gems.

Correct, I had the same problem with my alt account but manually buy did work regardless.

You can try to contact the support and ask them to unlock the episodes or send the tokens. They should be able to tell if you logged in during that time.
