courtneystodden.6892
Hey guys! I just recently started breaking into the game after ordering it years ago and never picking it up. I played up until about level 50 and then boosted, and have slowly been learning the ropes. I really want to unlock the Dragonknight, however my boost loaded me up with a bunch of exotic gear. I was wondering how I can get a longbow exotic? Is there a karma vendor for it somewhere, does it have to be a gold sink? Etc

Once you unlocked the elite spec, you will get an exotic longbow on which u also can choose the stats. If you already unlocked it but u still dont have the longbow, you can buy a longbow in the trading post for i guess...around 5 gold. You neednt play longbow tho, since its really bad in pve. But if you still want to play it, as i said, you can buy one in the trading post or whatever. The exotic equipment you get at lvl 80 from a booster is trash, because the stats are trash, you should change it to Marauder or Berserker equipment, that will increase your damage by a BIIIIG amount. Hope that helps u. 😄 Edited July 19, 2021 by SeTect.5918
Grand Marshal.4098
Well you can easily fight some mobs, get 1 gold and use the trading post option to find an exotic lvl 80 longbow.
courtneystodden.6892
Haha I figured that out as soon as I actually spent a point in it! I have a follow up--what's the difference between Marauder and Berserker? And what's the most optimal way of getting my exotic equipment changed? I know there's a karma trader that sells exotic armor in Orr, I believe, would that be good?

They are not expensive and in Berserker stats. I think in total they cost 6 Gold, so 1 Gold each, or even less.  Ah and the difference between Marauder and berserker: Berserker: Power, Precision, ferocity Marauder: Power, Precision, vitality, ferocity  Berserker grants higher Power and ferocity than Marauder. So Berserker is better for damage.  Marauder grants higher Precision and additional vitality. So thats the variant for a little more sustain.  Since devonas armor is so easy to get and less expensive, i would go for Berserker so devonas armor. You also have a fair amount of Blocks and healing so that should be fine.
