Have you done or started the Elixir Recipe chapter of A Crack in the Ice story? Once that is done I think they have a chance to drop from most mobs in Bitterfrost. Edit: From the wiki: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Clump_of_Frostbitten_Suet Quote Dropped by any creature killed in Bitterfrost Frontier as long as your character has started Elixir Recipe. SteveMND.1754
Yeah, I've been having some issue here as well. I already got the Thaw Elixir once as part of the storyline last week, and I went back to brew another one for some of the other achievements, but I've been killing various things for a solid hour now, and not a single one has dropped any Frostbitten Suet yet. EDIT: Never mind, I restarted and started getting them again, it looks like. Edited July 24, 2021 by SteveMND.1754
Nick Malone.5641
I usually get enough suet to make an elixir just by killing Icebrood wolves and trolls to fill the 2 NW area hearts (Grawl and Baby Griffin). I don't seem to get much suet from Icebrood spiders or elementals, though that might just be bad luck. I rarely bother with Svanir, aquatic or Mushroom mobs, so I really can't say whether they're any good to farm suet. I do notice that suet drops seem to be in clusters. So I may kill 10 mobs with no drops, then the next 10-15 all drop some. It all boils down to rng though, so nothing is 100% guaranteed.
Harfang.1507
I usually kill everything red that moves and have to delete that stuff from my bags.
