Unlock all mounts through WvW, when if ever.

Hello, I really don’t like the pve  side of the game, it’s not bad, it’s just not for me.

 

Over the years I have acquired plenty of nice mount skins that I would like to see. 
 

Why not make a way to train the mount skills up in wvw? 
 

I can’t be alone on this, right ?

I have a bunch of nice skins for the flying mount and others. I think I should have the option to grind these out in wvw or pvp.

If you want pvp goodies you go pvp, if you want raid goodies you go raid etc.  Why would you go wvw to get pve goodies?? That makes no sense.   If it was  meant to be easy then you could just buy everything with gems.  Do what the rest of us did for our pve mounts and go do the pve grind.

so your main point is, since you had to grind them through pve that everyone else, till the end of time should also ?

 

such a gatekeeper mindset. Im not saying it should be easy, make it hard and time consuming. Just put the collections in wvw.

 

What’s wrong with more options to get content. I’ll be honest I’m pretty surprised that anyone cares how I get my mounts. It has nothing to do with your gaming experience.

You want pve then go pve.  WvW is not that except for some annoying pve npc’s.  The last thing wvw people need is a bunch of pve people doing nothing for the borderlands.  Then again an influx of pve players could fill my bags with goodies as I and others punish them for entering for the wrong reasons.   

 

No, leave pve to the pve world.

nope, I rather have nothing then grind that stuff out in pve, which is obvious since I trained up the the rabbit and stopped, it was that boring.

 

again make it hard, make it lengthy, make it twice as much effort as pve, idc just give the option.

You can actually already farm~ a lot of PVE stuff in WVW and PVP, sometimes even easier than in PVE itself.
Therefore, I would not care. I as 90% PVE'ler would partly also wish PVP / WVW skins in PVE to be able to unlock.

Sure that makes zero sense, but it makes just as little sense that PVP/WVW tracks offer so many PVE skins and currencies ...

 

However, my question would be how and why you unlocked this mount-skin in the first place.

What do you do with mounts (except warclaw) if you don't play PvE? 

I mean if you only just want to see a few mount skins once, to never use them after that, you can as well watch a video on YT.

If you want the PvE mounts in WvW, then the various 'movements' on dodge would have to be disabled in enemy territory.

I don’t want them in wvw. I’d like to have the option of using them outside of wvw. But I don’t want to pve snooze grind snooze to have to get them.

 

let me earn them doing something I enjoy like wvw.  There’s plenty of pvp/wvw/pve crossover stuff. I don’t think this should be locked behind pve only content just because others “grinded in pve to get theirs” like that’s some huge accomplishment.

Ah so now I get it, you want a way to gain 'Mastery Points' in WvW/PvP and/or exp towards those mastery tracks.

To make that quicker do PoF Bounty Trains, races, and LWS4 map Dailies. While getting the PoF mounts you should have gotten most of what you needed just playing PoF excluding griffon, skyscale, and beetle.

There is plenty of things in WvW you can earn. 

PvE mounts is not one of them. That's for doing PvE.

so let me get this straight, it would bother you if they added wvw mount mastery  collections in wvw for the other mounts like they did the warclaw ?

 

if you answered yes, then your a flawed person and there is no reasoning with you.  Simply because this has zero effect on you or anyone else.

 

lastly I have 8000+ hours in wvw. Maybe more I’ve earned everything and anything that I’ve needed. I would like to earn something different for once ?

Hahaha, "flawed person". That's a good one. Personal attacks when the simple facts of the game fail to hit home.

Except I would not say yes - I dont care. I'm saying do PvE if you want PvE mounts. Because that's how the game works. GW2 isnt all about WvW even for primarily WvW players any more than it's only a PvE game or only an sPvP game. You want PvE things, you do PvE. Mounts, skins, whatever, it doesnt matter. It's PvE. People know this. 8000+ hours of WvW doesnt earn you the right to not do PvE.

Every game mode has its own rewards. The developers use this to both promote different game modes as well as reward players within those game modes.

 

Granted this is heavily in favor of PvE and open world content (being the most populated content). That still does not mean rewards or progress has to be made available across every mode. The relevant progress is already made available in WvW. You wanting to fly around and look shiny while not in WvW is not a necessity and serves nearly no purpose design wise.

 

The developers priority is towards designing the entire game, not only 1 mode. If you can't muster the 4-5 hours it takes to get the PvE mounts, after 8000 hours in WvW, you don't get them. It's that simple.

Well...

Pve mounts have nothing to do with WvW, so there doesn't need to be any training of them involved there.

 

Now having something like your elite spec is something that involves both areas, so makes sense to have something like that unlockable in each area. Or something like auto looting, makes sense to have the masteries to unlock them in each area.

 

I suppose an argument could be made for the warclaw to be made unlockable in pve, but I'm not a pve'er to make that argument.

Can we please also have reward tracks for Legendary Trinkets: Vision I: Awakening and Legendary Trinkets: Vision II: Farsight?

I already unknowingly collected all the mats while playing WvW. Just let me spam reward track pots so its done. Because chipping away at it in he PvE wasteland is going to take like a month and no one got time for that.

The same reason it was a bad idea to let pve plebs grind out spvp for gear and gizmos.. this is also bad. You should have to put in the work if you want something from the game. Not everyone should get legendary wvw armor, not everyone should get titles and other spvp rewards, and not everyone should get pve mounts etc.

Oh I get it, you guys worked so hard in pve (a game mode that you enjoy) to get your mount training that way. So everyone should have to do it the same exact way as you did, or somehow this grand achievement becomes cheapened. 
 

because me grinding out the progress somehow would effect you if I didn’t have to do it exactly how you all did.

Would you really be grinding anything if they added this to WvW, since you already have 8000+ hours in? Doesn't seem like it.

 

Who knows, once the game moves on to EoD and PoF is history, Anet may add something like this to allow another method of getting the basic mounts.
