Due to the time-limited way that awards are given in WvW, this takes a lot of time to get the most out of. We also have the bonus boss week. Due to the time-limited way that bosses are spawned, it takes a lot of time in order to get the boxes for this event. These two bonus events are going on alongside of newly released achievements and bonuses for the living world updates, which again requires time to complete each of these achievements. Why are our week-long time-monopolizing events being released on top of each other? It would make much more sense for these to be released on different weeks. Embered.5089 Posted July 28, 2021 Share Posted July 28, 2021 The Return To events can all be done in one day. My Return to Draconis Mons achievements were all completed this morning. It wasn't long or hard at all. World Bosses can be done endlessly, in a continuous string. If you have the World Boss Portal Device, it's very easy to hop from one to the next. Or you can use the Event Timer on the official gw2 wikipedia. If you just do 5 world bosses a day, you will have completed all of the Bonus Event achievements by the end of the week. Last wvw event overlapped with another event to keep this crowd happy. What makes this worse is there are currently 4 events going on at the same time. We have the pvp mini season, the wvw event, the boss rush AND a LS spotlight. Currently I am not wvw because i still need to get 30 pvp matches and 30 world bosses. Infusion.7149 Posted July 28, 2021 Share Posted July 28, 2021 (edited) If you're grinding a boss rush achievement for a useless stat ring (Vigilant) that can't be salvaged or mystic forged and zero AP I don't know what to tell you. If you're doing 30 bosses just to get a +10 agony infusion that is extremely poor ROI on time spent as market value is ~9g (so about 30s per each of 30 bosses , before counting extractor). The WVW event has actual value. see https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/items?ids=95140&lang=en"NoMysticForge""NoSalvage" The boss rush event is a failure overall IMO because giving Vigilant stat ascended ring to the general userbase that thinks "ascended is higher stat than exotic" will cause people to use Vigilant stat items. If they want to feed people toughness items, at least let it be commander's, captain's, or knight's. This is kind of a step back from items such as Commander of Your Heart or the Dragonslayer weaponsets (Marauder/Viper). Even the HoT story achievement was Marauder stat ; PoF gave Harrier, Marshal's, and Grieving. The Twisted Marionette item (Energy Regulator Cog) , while not infusable or salvageable at least had Zealot's stats. So while it isn't optimal by any measure it can be used for Z-brand (zealot firebrand) or giving something that is healing oriented that doesn't need much boon duration actual crit chance. The Fractal Troubleshooter's Star on the other hand for Fractal Rush was spot on. It had Berserker's + Valkyrie stat and was an accessory, so only 18 loss of precision (below 1%) and a +10 agony infusion for a fractal player actually has utility.
