EOD Legendaries

I know it’s been said. It’s lazy design - I agree.

I know it’s been said. Rushed to get all out at one time. - I don’t like.

 

so this is me as a legendary hunter or person that enjoys making them. 
what is my goal? Fashion? Amazing. Fun to do? Please make it entertaining and not Grindy to get. Sense of achievement ? Absolutely! Goal? To stand out with uniqueness. 
 

i don’t want this new “set” of legendaries. This is sloppy, no creative, and probably a bore to get.

 

the alternative? Slow moving legendaries? Fine. I can wait. Why? Because there ARE alternatives (gen 1 and gen 2) and this game has just made itself skin wars with armory and no point to get a new legendary UNLESS it looks good (and for me standing out from ANYTHING else in game.) and now with 15 other weapons that look the same as my legendary… BOOOOORING. 
Gen 2 had it right. The first 4-5 . Even not THAT complex is fine with me. But knowing a new legendary was coming out, it hyped people a lot. The thing it failed at … same mats, same grind, not creativity after the first few. And f they swapped mats around, made other things unique to getting it, it wouldn’t have been so bad… but everyone stocked their 20k Mithril and wood , clovers, coins, globs, shards, and waited. Didn’t even implement much of content or pod mats to go back to pod. It was unimaginably boring. That was my problem. But now… we have 15 same looking weapons that are probably ticket weapon worthy (black lion tickets that is) and as mentioned earlier this game is just skin and reskin so… why shouldn’t it be in bl tickets or chests? 
the thing about legendary that people hold is hey, I got this during the time of so n so pet of EOD in cantha , where I had to do this, and resembled a time period. To make it flow. Now it’s just … oh part of some dragon we raised and heck people like her let’s market her into minis, mounts, oh how about legendaries now? /puke. No more please. Legendaries should be reserved for a unique adventure or item that resembled nothing currently in game. If that is hard for your studio… I question some things about it the. But yah. I’m not going to bash because I love the studio and your work. Just disagree making a set … legendary? Sounds bad. 
 

maybe it is just me but when I play other games holding that legendary . I stand out. And now with these Aurene I may stand out. But look like 15 other weapons and say, meh, it’s all the same. I mean mythic weapons are great and love them and feel those would almost be legendary material now. 
 

I hope you reconsider in the future if Maki g legendaries their meaning to the game. Because this is not very creative and drives down meaning to owning one personally.

Because I want my concern with others. And if you want to move “several” threads into one then go petition on every one of them. My point is this. Anet sees more about the “several” threads it will make an impact over the one thread that has 100+ Responses as well. And I am telling them, this is WHY I feel it is bad, this is WHAT so would wish for them to do instead of kind of think about it more. It is not a “sloppy af, now comment on me.”

So if anet were to read, I want to tell them my story of what I am looking for. And not be 70 deep in a queue of many things. Trying to get out of it what people look in for legendaries as well by saying this is my POV of it. So your comment is not helping and go on several other threads and post that. Ty.

You know, people say that a lot, but legendaries still have exclusive visuals not available to any other weapon.

 

Also, are we really mad about the quality of the new legendary weapons or are we just mad because they will all be the same theme? That's what I feel like the real issue here is for people.

I dont really care about legs being the same theme as long they look good. Legendaries have some fancy effects but overall they are worse than gemstore skins these days. This new set look like a joke in comprasion to gen 1 and 2 and gemstore skins itself

I want to get hyped by the EoD expansion but I confess that the upcoming Aurene themed legendaries do not look that great and imho are not worth the effort.

 I would be OK with it if the crafting cost would be lower then gen1 and us getting more sets in the future. 

 

Still hoping for my Longbow of destruction and doom after 2 very feminine longbows.

I'll make one because most of us will have a precursor once story meta will be over but I'm not sure to keep the actual skin and I doubt I'll make another one after.
