Khan Ur.7215
So I was chatting with others about currently unobtainable items like the Boxing Gloves which I see people ask for time and time again. I wanted to find a solution to get the items obtainable in the game without Anet just burying it in a megathread. So I chatted with other players and Devs about possible solutions and we came up with a great idea. That Anet could release old/unobtainable novelty items for Black Lion Statuettes Anet could even take it a step further and add use this method to add old/unobtainable skins. It would be a way for completionists to finally unlock every skin and it would be a good sink for anyone with extra statuettes. Other good examples are; (I believe most of these are unobtainable, I could be wrong) Flames of Kryta Worn Voltaic Spear Guild Kite Warden Harpoon Gun Legionnaire Harpoon Guild Watchman Armor (parts) Dark Moon Shield So what other items would you like to see added for Black Lion Statuettes? Would you like to see this implemented? I'm sure if enough people are interested Anet could add this which I would love to see? 🙂 Edited August 1, 2021 by Draven.3720 7 3
flame berst.8742
I would really love to see this happen. There are lots of items I missed getting when the game first came out just out of not knowing how to get them. This would also be great for new players who will see veterans be excited about items coming back that it will get them interested in getting them as well. These items would be so fun and nostalgic to have back in the game and I would really just love and appreciate it being back. :)
quagganzilla.6450
I want this to happen so much. I've been asking for Boxing Gloves for years. ❤️ One thing I would love to see added but understand they wont add is the Celebration Hathttps://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Celebration_Hat I liked that they added items with EotN factions and Dragonbash also.
Eclipsiste.3251
Even though I like having real exclusive items tied to specific community events, I find your idea really good. Some items should stay outside of this though. Real exclusive items contribute to the appeal of special events, tournaments, etc.... Even if these items are really old by the game standards: having a new player simply buy an item you struggled for hours/days/sometimes weeks to obtain doesn't seem fair (I remember "exclusive" rewards from WvW tournaments becoming available to all, and many WvW felt that sucked).

I was more aiming it at items we see in the wardrobe and novelty panel but can't unlock or can only unlock with some crazy RNG.
SkidsKnight.9036
I seen older outfits that can't be found normally in game put into the Black Lion Statuettes. Like the Casual Clothing Outfit or Khaki Clothing Outfit. You can add another slot to Statuettes for those other rare items which can't be found normal in game. Gives newer players a chance to feel classic GW2 experience.
Embered.5089
I like this idea. I don't keyfarm anymore, which was my only source of statuettes, but I know that many people complain about having stacks and stacks of unused statuettes. Re-introducing otherwise unobtainable items for ridiculous amounts of statuettes could help alleviate this problem and give everyone a chance to obtain old items that have no good reason for remaining unobtainable.
Linken.6345
Why dont the just buy homeinstance nodes and sell them?

At 100 statuettes each they're a terrible conversion to gold. Plus if you have excess statuettes you either have no issues with gold in the game or no issue spending IRL cash on keys so I would assume those people are more interested in getting fun items. I remember how happy the RP community was when they added all the the town clothes as a good example.
Antimony.1398
I would love to see those old unobtainable items reintroduced to the game and Black Lion Statuettes sounds like a great solution. I'd definitely pay up to 60 statuettes for the ability to equipt boxing gloves on my toon. The guild kite is something I need. :D Can you imagine a squad of guildies all running around doing missions with guild kites trailing behind them? :D :D :D
