Connecting from mainland China

Hello,

I haven't found this information anywhere so I have to ask here. I am going for a work trip to China in 20 days for three months and I want to know whether there is any obstacle with connecting European version of GW in mainland China due to the "great China firewall" or not. I was there back in 2017 and used to play the other MMORPG and it was forcing me to download the Chinese client  with heavy censorship and different version even with VPN set to EU and thus having internet speed bottlenecked to the unbearable numbers.  Thank you in advance.

I'm in China and I am able to connect to NA/EU without any issue. However, the ping and packet loss can be extreme at times.

 

I used a gamer VPN to connect to the NA servers for the last 2 years.

 

However, I got blocked for security purposes and I heard several people who use Exitlag also got blocked.

 

Waiting for the CS team to reply to my ticket.
